The road was quite bumpy, as the car drove up the street Cyclone pulled out her phone. She pushed a button and the small LED screen lit up, illuminating her face. She unlocked it and went into her music application, she plugged her headphones in and put on a song she'd found out about recently. It had a sad tune, lyrics that made you feel lost and an acoustic guitar that played slow riffs in the background of the singing.

The car pulled into the restaurant, the neon red and white sign read; "Smelly Pig."

'What an appealing name' Cyclone thought to herself.

They all walked inside and as Jane found out where they were sitting Cyclone paused her music and put her phone away. Although she wanted to listen to the song just one more time. The scent of burgers and hot chips made their way to Cyclone's nose, it made her stomach rumble.

As they sat down at the table a waitress walked past and handed out a menu to each Jane, Clyde and Cyclone. After about three minutes of searching the menu Cyclone ordered the biggest box of chips they had and a lemonade, Clyde ordered a beef burger and Jane ordered a chicken Caesar salad. As the waitress walked off to tell the chef Cyclone looked around the establishment, there weren't very many people, turned out Greenside wasn't that big a town. Most of the people were overweight and kinda ugly, although there was one face that Cyclone recognised. Sitting two tables away was Cyclone's old friend Mary, her pale skin glowing in the moonlight and her brown hair tied back in a pony tail, 'But, but she couldn't be here... She couldn't be anywhere.' Cyclone thought. She shook her head and realised she imagined it. It hurt Cyclone to think about Mary.

She continued looking around the restaurant and recognised another face, except she was sure this one wasn't an illusion, it was Flame. He'd obviously tried to brush his hair but it hadn't worked and it was sticking out in all directions, she was just praying he wouldn't start staring at her again. Although it wouldn't make much of a difference because about ten people were already staring at her.

The waitress from earlier came back and had two meals; the burger and the Caesar salad. No chips.

About two minutes later the waitress returned with a lemonade can and a big box of chips. Cyclone dug in straight away. Clyde grabbed a handful from time to time but Cyclone ate most of it.

After the main course all three of them got a bowl of ice cream for dessert.

As they all got into the car and started going home Cyclone put on the song again. The slow guitar started up and the familiar tune filled her ears while the singing started.

When they got home Cyclone went into her room to get Clyde's present, it was wrapped so she picked it up and brought it out. Clyde quickly unwrapped it and a smile made it's way onto his face as he saw what it was, he stood up, gave Cyclone a hug and then took the guitar out of it's case.

After Clyde had left Cyclone went to her room and turned the classical music on again, she laid back and started falling asleep, except it wasn't sleep, it was more like she was floating through her memories.

She skipped the rest of the Pre-School memories since she got picked on and instead went to a memory during the holidays.

She recognised her Mother's face and immediately knew which memory she was in.

"Cyclone." Jane said calmly. "The only primary school in this town is going to have all the kids from your Pre-School there and since you didn't have any friends there your father and I have decided that we'll hire a tutor so that you can be home-schooled. Will that be okay?"

Even though it wasn't then everything around them was black, it looked like a spotlight was being shined upon them as if it were a decision that would change everything.

"Yes." Cyclone said simply.

That was the moment that changed everything, the moment that made Cyclone fall behind on developing social skills and getting to know people. But if it hadn't happened Cyclone feared what she might have become. The next memory to be explored would be Cyclone's Kindergarten year. She felt herself lift out of the memory and follow the line of memories to the day she met her tutor.

She was sitting at the table eating cereal and reading The Wizard of Oz when all of a sudden there was a noise; "Ding dong."
