"This feels heavy on my face," I huffed, as I looked into the mirror and turned around to get the full view. Feeling exposed in the crop top that barely covered my belly I pulled it down but that only succeeded in showing off my chest area more. I felt a light snap on my hand and looked to see Grace shaking her head in and annoyed despaired way.

"You look fine, now let's go," before I could get a word out Grace was pulling me out of the dressing room into the flashing lights and music.

"WHO'S READY FOR A SHOWDOWN," the crowd cheered louder than anything I had ever heard before. Butterfly sped up immensely dodging several people and hiding behind even more.

"What are we doing," I yanked my arm out of her hold and stopped to fold my arms over my chest.

Butterfly gave me a nervous look before looking at the clock on the wall. "We have to get to the safe side."

"What do you mean by safe side?"

Butterfly tugged my hand and gave me a look that practically begged me to just follow her. A loud ringing went off inside the room, and butterfly took off running while the crowd starting shouting.

"5... 4... 3... 2... 1..."

Butterfly all but threw me into a bunch of random people who thankfully caught me. I scrambled up only to find myself illuminated in green come to think of it the whole half side was covered in green.

"What do we have here," a spotlight blinded my vision making me blink a couple of times so I could see properly. There standing there was butterfly clenching her fists bathed in red while the crowd gasped.

"What did she get herself into," I jumped when I heard a feminine voice right behind me. I turned around to see a girl with curly auburn hair pulled into a ponytail and a black mask painted onto her face. "Hi I am Lady at least that is my nickname, but the newbies usually call me Lady Wifi nice to meet you. You're the new recruit that butterfly was talking about right yeah defiantly you."

"It seems we have a challenge! Oh, my look who it is the infamous monarch butterfly the leading competitor that everyone wants well at least in the solo acts." I heard Lady Wifi growl lowly watching butterfly walk up to the large arena.

I turned my head to Wifi, "hey I have a question what does he mean by solo act?"

"Okay, here we have to types of categories that you are placed into depending on you weaknesses and strengths. Solo acts are dancers who do better without someone with them either because of trust issues or the plain fact that if the partner isn't right for them they can bring you down majorly. Duo acts are two people who work quite well with each other they make each other better in every way. We are each scored into a ranking and right now your friend is the number one wanted team dancer in this room, and well that cat." I was about to ask her about "that cat" but she shook her head and jutted her chin out to the arena.

"Okay dudes and dudettes, let's get this started. To refresh everyone's' mind lets go over the name of the game. On nights like these two teams go up against each other only if they are on the wrong side of the room. To be short when the dance off the loser must join the others team forever."

"Let's hope she still has it," I gave Wifi a questioning look for her to continue, "butterfly has been MIA for the past couple of months, and this is the first time we have seen her since." I nodded my head pushing the lingering question away.

Why would she quit dance she loved it. A loud burst of music pushed my thoughts away succeeding in giving me a migraine in the process. My eyes went wide when I saw butterfly start to move to the music in ways I didn't know were possible. The guy that was going up against her seemed to be struggling even complete his what I think was a routine.
