Chapter 1

//flashback to 3 years ago//

*beep beep*

I received a text message from Chanyeol. He told me to get ready in 30 minutes and he will come and pick me up. He said he got something to tell me, it makes me feel uneasy for some reason.

He arrived outside my house in 30 minutes and drove off to the park where both of us first met. He remained silent throughout the whole ride, I pretend to not notice him being weird because this isn't like him. Chanyeol is a cheerful person, he smiles and talks a lot especially when he is with me. But today he rarely spoke, and he was frowning the whole time.

After a 10 minutes drive, we arrived at the park that we first met. A park filled with memories throughout our whole relationship. We sat down on a bench quietly, the silence remained for roughly 5 minutes until I decide to start the conversation. "Oppa, do you remember the first time we met here? I was here with my bestfriend.. oh wait, ex-bestfriend. You accidentally bump onto me, I fell and sprained my ankle. You piggyback me to the bench when my ex-bestfriend went to get buy ice for my ankle-" I stopped talking when I realised that he wasn't even paying attention to what I've said. So I kept quiet, and just sit next to him quietly.

I was kinda getting annoyed by him not saying a single word. I went on and I asked him, "I thought you have something to tell me?" He let out a big sigh, that's when I finally convinced myself that something is wrong. "I will tell you once she's here" without looking at me, he stared at the sky instead.

I waited anxiously, thinking about the possible things that he might say for the past 10 minutes until I heard a familiar voice coming from the front. "Oppa!" the girl shouted as she run towards us. With a closer look, I realised it's my ex-bestfriend Minjung. She ran to us and held Chanyeol's arm. "She did not just touch my boyfriend." the first thing I thought of when I saw that scene.

Minjung & Eunhyun's Story

Minjung was my bestfriend during school days. We often went out together with Chanyeol and his bestfriend Baekhyun. She liked Baekhyun for a really long time. I always encouraged her to confess to him but I didn't know that Baekhyun actually like me. On that day when she was supposed to confess to him, Baekhyun confessed to me right infront of her when we were out together. Since then, she hated me. And that's exactly when our friendship starts falling apart. I tried so hard to save this friendship but she didn't bother to. She started spreading rumors about me, making me look like a real bitch. After we graduated, Chanyeol and I finally got together, and I've never seen her since then.

"I'm sure you know her well enough so I don't have to introduce right? Eunhyun-ah, I'm sorry but I think we should breakup." He spoke with that cold looking eyes. At that moment, I was struck dumb and I felt like the whole world collapsed. Tears started rolling down my cheeks like a broken tap.

"Hey it's been a long time yeah? My dear bestfriend." Showing her sarcastic smile, she said. "C-Can we speak privately?" I stuttered, only looking at Chanyeol. "I don't think there's a need to." He turned his head away with his hands on his waist, showing signs of annoyance. "Please don't tell me it's because of her." I probably sound really pathetic as I said that. "Yes. Sorry but I've already fell for her. I lost feelings for you. Minjung, let's go." Every single word was like a needle, piercing through my heart.
