Kagome POV
"Are you sure you want to do this, sweetie? Can't it wait a bit longer?" The middle aged woman with short, wavy brown hair and brown eyes said as she put her hand to her mouth to stop the sobs from escaping. Her only daughter was packing up everything that she would take to her apartment in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The young adult sighed and straightened from her crouch on the floor to face her crying mother. "Mama, I'm already twenty. I can't keep living off you you, ya know. I have to take care of myself. Besides, grandpa isn't getting any younger to be working the shrine and Souta is about to graduate School." Kagome Higurashi explained as she wrapped her arm around her mother. "Anyway, I only live four miles from here. I will visit any time that I'm free, so no need to worry about it!"
"I know, dear. I'm just being silly is all." Sakura giggled and wiped away her tears with a napkin, sighing. Kagome smiled at her before walking over to her walk in closet to grab her weapons that she was given by her friends in the fedual era. There was her long red bow and quiver of arrows, Miroku's Shorinji Kempo, Kagura's fans, a sword called Tenshi from Sesshomaru, and a smaller yet quicker Hiraikotsu from Sango. Exiting the closet, Kagome found some cloth that Inuyasha purchased for her and wrapped them up together.
"I think that's all. So, mind telling me why your hiding something from me, mama?" The blue-blacked hair girl asked as she turned her azure gaze to her nervous mother's.
"Ah. Kagome, I was meaning to tell you this, but I wanted you to fully recuperate from your travels."
"I am well enough, so tell me." Kagome studied her mother's aura and saw the depressing tint to her usually yellow and orange aura. "I won't be upset with you, ya know."
Sakura sniffles and bowed her head to shield her face from her daughter's tense gaze. "You and Souta are not the only ones." She murmured.
"W-What?" The woman-child gasped as she took a stumbling step back.
"You have two other brothers, Eugene and Oliver. I...had to give them up for adoption because I didn't have enough money to support all of you, and also because another family wanted them for their own." Sakura then pulled out some crumpled up paper from her apron pocket and handed it over to her stoic daughter. "This is where Oliver's current location, but I don't know about Eugene. Since you're going to Shibuya, I thought this was the perfect time to reunite."
"I see. Thanks, mama." Kagome clenched to paper tighter into her hand and thought about her brothers.
