Chapter 21

"Toothless! Bud where are you?" Hiccup called. He couldn't find Toothless. All he could see was dark fog. He stumbled around looking for Toothless. Suddenly he saw him. "Toothless! There you are!" He yelled. He ran towards Toothless with his arms open. Toothless suddenly turned around and growled at him.

"Toothless, what's wrong bud?" Hiccup asked. Toothless growled even more. His pupils dilated. He crouched down, ready to pounce. He jumped and pinned Hiccup to a rock. He growled. "Toothless, get off! Toothless." Hiccup began to breath rapidly. Toothless opened his mouth. Hiccup could see the fire ball forming in his mouth. "Toothless no!" Hiccup yelled as Toothless was about to shoot at him. Hiccup sat up straight. Toothless was no where to be seen. Jack, Rapunzel and Merida were all looking at him.

"Nightmare?" Jack asked. Hiccup nodded. He wiped cold beads o sweat off of his forehead. "He's been here again."

"Why doesn't he attack?" Hiccup said. "You know, kill us in the dark of the night and all."

"I think he's trying to make us paranoid." Merida said.

"But the question is, who's going to be next?" Jack asked. They all looked at each other.

"I don't know but I think we should start heading off again." Hiccup said. He pulled out a piece of paper. It was the note from earlier. He stood up an rolled his blankets up. Everyone else followed him. They walked out and left the note at Astrid's door and left a few coins at a desk for the owner. They walked out into the snow. Jack smiled. He held Rapunzel's hand. Hiccup's arm was around Merida's shoulder. They walked for a while in the snow.

"I'm actually really tired." Rapunzel yawned.

"Yeah me too." Merida yawned. Hiccup and Jack both yawned. They slowed down.

"Well this is going to be a long walk." Jack said. He smiled.
