I woke up heavily sedated, meaning I had blurred visions and I felt no pain. I felt the pressure but no pain.

The beeping noise of the machine was giving me a real headache.

I noticed someone sitting in the corner in a chair.

" Nurse she's awake " he yelled out the room door.

The nurse rushed in and started checking my vitals and making sure I was fine.

Sure as hell I didn't feel fine.

" she's fine she just needs to stay hydrated and get a lot of rest, but you can take her she's heavily sedated so be careful "

" now sir unless you are her spouse or family you can not take her what's your relationship? "

Took him a minute to answer but he lied and told them I was his lady. I wanted to laugh but couldn't.

I was drowsy, drifting off to sleep.

" okay thanks ma'am " the man said.

I could see he was tall , light skinned with tattoos everywhere and that's about it.

" we have already did the release forms and she's ready to go "

" okay " he said again.

I could tell he was ready to get out of here

My throat was so dry like I haven't drunken anything in days. I managed to get out a few words.

" who ever you are, I'm thirsty "

" I'm sorry I will introduce myself when I get you home feeling better. Right now you probably won't remember, but I'll get you some water"

He was back quicker than he left with the water and also a wheel chair.

" come on we have to get you up " he said handing me the water bottle.

I slowly sat up and drank some water out the bottle.

Standing up I fell right to the floor I was weak.

His arm was around my body helping me get up just as quick as I fell.

" come on I'll help you "

" I'm not sure I'm comfortable with being around you, I barely know you"

" let's just say Ms.Karlae , I was sent to you by God, something told me to visit my moms yesterday "

I was in the wheelchair by now.. " so you trying to say your my guardian or something " I could always find humor in anything.

He rolled me out of the room and I was still sleepy as ever.

I was put into the passenger seat of the same car I was in the back seat of yesterday.

The cold air felt good blowing on me as he drove me home.

" you know where I stay right ? "

" of course I do " he replied.

We had arrived at my house.

" my purse ? Where is it? " I had just thought about it.

" In the backseat, I'm telling you, you don't have nothing to worry about "

" well I guess I can trust you a little bit since you did save my life and all "

" your stubborn, but I don't mind trying "

" trying what ? "

He just looked over at me and didn't answer.

" to get to know you "

He had me feeling a little scared for a minute.

I had forgotten We'd pulled up to my house .

" well thank you for this " I leaned over and pecked him on the cheek. I grabbed my bag out the back seat.

I opened the car door. Once the sun hit me I felt like throwing up. I tried to walk again but failed.

Mystery man P.o.v

" come on I got you " I was picking this woman up bridal style.

I was a good man, cause I had a sister of my own. I don't know what I would've done if I seen her being handled the way this woman was last night.

" which one's the key ?" I asked.

" The red one " she said.

I unlocked the door and went in.. Still holding her.

" it's Dwayne " I said it out of the blue. Laying her down on her sofa.

"What "

" my name is Dwayne Mckell " my mama has stayed next door since forever. I recently moved down here from Philadelphia with my daughter"

" I'm Karlae Lotus and this is mi Casa "

" I already knew that , tell me something I don't know "

" well I'm from the Islands "

" keep it coming "

" I'm 21 and my mother past away when I was 16 from breast cancer "

" I'm sorry to hear that "

" yeah it's fine I've been coping "

she stared at me for a minute and i felt some type of way so i decided to make the situation less awkward by leaving.

" well let me get to my daughter" he was sitting up.

" thanks for all you've done " I stood up finally hugging him.

" Alright bye now"
excuse my mistakes 💋
