During the night I heard many unfamiliar noises, like the animals lurking in the area, wind cooing words I couldn't make out, and what seemed to be, music. I stood there, trying to see if it truly was music. There was silence. Then music started to play again. I looked around, noticing the sun was rising on the horizon. The music stopped again. I wanted to go and see where the sound was coming from but I couldn't leave Wes alone here, not now, not ever.
"Kath? Wow, you actually stayed up?" He said rubbing his eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean? I mean a promise is a promise right?" I asked, tired.
"Umm... Yeah!
"That doesn't sound very convincing Wes." I said looking of the hill.
"Uh... Anyways! Let's get moving!" He said.
