Dirt Road Romance

Emilyns POV
"Honey you ready?" My mom suouted from the car as I grabbed my last bag and slung it over my shoulder. "Coming" I yell sliding downstairs. I take the spare key from under the mattress and throw it into my purse. "All done?" My mom questions. "Yep" i shyly grin. I slip my headphones on and listen to country music. I slowly drift off to sleep as we pull out of town.

"Baby were here" my mom shakes me awake. I look up to see a star filled sky and a full moon. I grumble into my arm as my eyes adjust. "Hey darling" My aunt Shirley calls from the porch. I smile weakly because I'm exhausted. My aunt Shirley leads me to my room upstairs and I snuggle into the bed. My eyes take over as I drift off to sleep.

*The next morning*
Sunshine floods over my room and stirs me awake. For the first time I take in the scenery from my balcony and smile. In mid thought a roaring sound comes to life and three dirtbikes are flying through the air. As dust flies they speed around the track and do it again. I regret not having my camera with me. And I run downstairs to grab it out of the car. "Morning baby" my mom kisses my forehead. "Morning momma" I smile grabbing a piece of bacon. "Listen I have to leave in an hour, so i figured id help you unpack and then I'd be off" she says. "I know momma I'll be okay" i laugh. "Yea I'll take care of her" My aunt Shirley says emptying the pan of grease. We finished eating and Began unpacking.

*An hour later*

"Finally done" I huff setting the last bag on the floor. "I never realized how much stuff you have" my mom said. "Well baby I have to go. I'll see you in 3 months. I love you" she says. "Love you too" I say as I follow her out the door. I ran upstairs to start unpacking. I grabbed the first box which held my computer and photo software. I hooked it all up and went to the next bag. My clothes were hung up and folded into my closet and dressers. I sighed as I realized ny bathing suit was ripped and I needed new hats. I made a mental note to myself. After my lights were strung and my pictures were hung up I began looking through my pictures that hadn't been developed. There were some of my friends, my exs, my mom and my old dog riley. "Wow your really good" Shirley said. I turned to see my aunt In the doorway eye balling my wall of pictures. "I can't wait to take more" I smile closing my computer. "I need to run into town you wanna come?" She says pulling my hair back. "Yea I actually need some things" I say grabbing my phone off the charger and the only baseball cap I had. "Let's go" I smiled leading the way. I hopped into the truck and jammed out to Luke Bryan.
