It has been two whole days of driving. Nothing but rode and scenery and worry crossed through little Lavinas eyes.
She held her plastron with one hand. The hand that was sprained. Her other on her eldest brothers chest. Feeling his small, yet calming, breathing.
A frown was on her face, her brown eyes darker than usual. Her mask was undone and hanging loose, like her brothers masks.
She was looking out the window, seeing the many trees, sometimes clearings. Her gaze was only there.
She sighed and turned from the window to see her broken family.
Raphael was still holding little Michelangelo in his grasp. A frown settled in his face. Michelangelo was sleeping soundly, worry and fear in his innocent face.
Donatello was fiddling with one of the Hamato Ninja stars, trying to distract him from his shame that he thinks he somehow caused.
Mei Pieh Chi, aka, Venus, was looking at her phone, trying her hardest not to cry. She was scrolling through pictures of her friends and her new family.
April was looking back, still looking ashamed as well. Her eyes were red from tiredness and worry of not getting there in time for their lost one to be, gone.
Casey Jones, he kept his gaze on the road, still torn about his family, but, tried to stay strong.
Leonardo, the lost one. He had bruises and cuts everywhere. But, he was sleeping soundly, a lost expression on his face. His chest rising ever so slightly, then falling down. It worries everyone how shallow his breathing was.
And then theres Lavina. She had called her mother not to long ago, telling of the situation. Her mother, of course, telling her that she would pray. Her eyes were a dark red from crying many nights to sleep, moaning over the loss of her new father and blaming herself for leading Kranng Sub-Prime into the lair, and Leonardo getting hurt.
She turned back to the window, seeing things fly by, her mask fiddling in the wind.
She sighed and turned to April " Are we there yet?" She said, her voice raspy for not talking for so long.
April turned to Lavina and did the world's smallest smile " Almost."
Lavina groaned and leaned back, causing her shell to act up again. She yelped and sat up and gripped her shell, which had bandages wrapped around where Rahzar had cracked her shell.
Donatello shot up and crawled over to Lavina.
Lavina took a deep breath and sat up and sighed and looked at her second eldest brother " Stupid crack, how long until it's fixed up?" She asked.
Donatello smiled the tiniest bit " Only a month, the crack is small, so it will be awhile before it goes away."
Lavina nodded and propped her back against the wall of the van, watching her brother go back to the spot he was before.
She saw something shine in her eyes. She looked out the window and smiled.
" We're here." She whispered. Glad to be in a safe place....
