Avery POV

I lay there on my back for a few seconds, before I feel Ethan shift his body weight carefully. Suddenly, his leg was around my waist, and he was easily shifting his weight on his knees, while practically sitting on my hips. I opened my eyes.

“Can I help you?” I ask, smirking and laying my hands and arms near my head.

He leans forward, now resting his almost unnoticeable body weight on me. He grabs my wrists and pins them down above my head.

“No, I like you right here,” He smirks back, before pushing his lips to mine. I kiss him back wildly. He pulls his lips away after a couple minutes and trails kisses down my cheek, and to my ear. He starts biting and kissing and I can’t help but moan.

“You’re evil,” I whisper.

“I know,” He says, kissing his way back to my lips.

After a minute or two more, he rolls off of me, pleased with himself.

“So I want to continue that game of twenty questions,” He says.

“Okay, your turn then, cause I can’t think of anything,” I agree.

“Okay. Biggest turn ons. I gotta know,” He smirks.

“That. Neck kisses. Dragging fingers along my back, in any form, really. Uhm, this is weird and probably too much, but, I have sensitive nipples. Just saying,” I smirk back.

“Good to know,” He winks.

“You’re something. Now tell me yours,” I challenge.

“Neck kisses. Ear biting. You,” he says, almost nervously.

I laugh loudly.

“What?!” He asks, smiling.

“Nothing, I just never knew how funny you were,” I say back.

“Oh stop, I was serious,” Ethan says, seriously.

“I know, but I still think it was hilarious,” I reply.

“You’re impossible,” He says as he rolls his eyes.

“I know,” I smile.

We’re laying there on our backs in the silence for a few minutes before either of us speaks again. The silence is so comforting, and I close my eyes.

Ethan POV

I watch Avery as she starts to drift off to sleep. She looks so exhausted after today. Uncomfortably lying on my back, I push myself farther up the bed, and wrap my arms around her, pulling her close to me. She stirs slowly.

“Shh, its just me, I’ve got you, its okay, go to sleep, I’m right here,” I whisper.

She falls back into a deep sleep, and I close my eyes and nap with her. About ten minutes later, I’m awakened by Avery, twitching and fidgeting in her sleep. She starts mumbling, and I quickly realize she is having a nightmare. I prop myself up on my elbow, and carefully shake her shoulder.

“Ave, wake up!” I panic.

She jolts awake, breathing heavily. She sits straight up, and starts crying into her hands. I sit up with her and rub my hand along her back, trying to get her to turn to me so I can hold her.

“Shh, I’m right here, its okay,” I say.

Finally, she turns, and I pull her into me, and she rested her head on my shoulder, and I hug her and rub her back. I keep her there for a few minutes, and she calms down and the tears subside.

“Is everything okay?” I ask

“Yeah, I’m fine, I promise, please, can I just go back to sleep? I’ll tell you after,” She says, and her eyes drop, and she looks even more exhausted than fifteen minutes ago, so I ease her down onto the small mattress. I grab onto her hand and rub her head and play with her hair until she falls back asleep.

God, just get us out of here alright, okay? Please? For her sake? I think before drifting asleep.
