Ding

I look over at Ian, who looks at me, "You heard that too right?"

Ian nods and I stand up, going over to the door now that I know it's real. I know exactly what that sound means, so I didn't hesitate to open the door and look at the tiny box on our door, and just as I thought, a green light was on the box's lid. Opening it and taking out a single envelope, I look at it for a moment. I'm about to go back inside the room when the stupid nurses announce something over the speakers.

"Attention patients, it is now visiting hours, may the following patients please make their way to the front desk. Zoe, David, Nick, Derp, Ian, and Piper. The rest may have extra free time. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day." The nurse sounded bored.

I sigh, not really caring, yet curious about who this visitor is. Going inside for a second, I lay the envelope down on my pillow for Ian to read later, Ian of course heard the announcement and left to go to the front desk. Subconsciously closing the door, I walk straight to the front desk, passing David and Nick on the way. They wave at me. Ian must have taken his time walking there, because I beat him to the front desk where the stupid nurse is waiting.

I ring the small bell on the front desk, the nurse is sitting at her desk too busy to notice me...so I ring the bell again.

And again,

And again,

And again, till she looks up and slams her hand on top of mine, her face is fuming with anger.

"If you keep making that ugly face it might just become stuck like that forever." David says, Nick standing right beside him like always.

"That's her ugly face? I do not want to see her normal face then." Nick says, putting an arm around David.

The nurse rolls her eyes and gives Nick and David a piece of paper with a number on it before giving me a piece of paper, pointing over at four doors after. The doors have numbers on them, yes I can read numbers...I just can't read words. The doors were numbered one through four. Nick and David had the number three, and I had the number two. I could see Ian being handed a piece of paper as I left the desk to go over to the number two door.

I open the door to see a small room with light brown walls, cream colored carpet, and a single wooden table in the middle with a chair on each side of it. A girl with dark red hair that turned to a bright red at the bottom, brownish orange colored fox ears and tail sat in one of the chairs. I hesitantly went over to the empty seat and sat down, the girl looked at me with wide, round, brownish orange eyes. She's wearing a light pink shirt with a bunny on the front and black shorts. She looks too innocent to be insane or anywhere near a mental hospital. Her fox ears twitch as I stare, a small blush covering her pale face.

"Uh, hi?" I say.

"H-Hello." She says quietly.

I look around at the room nervously before looking back at her, "Who're you?"

"O-Oh, sorry m-my name is K-Kaylie." She introduces herself.

"That's....nice? Why are you here...?" I ask, slightly confused.

She smiles at me, "I sh-should ask y-you the sa-same thing."

I lean back in the seat and cross my arms, "That's a good question. What do you want?"

"I-I want to ta-talk." She looks around, before looking back, "What time is it?"

I shrug, "I don't know, there's no clock in here."

She nods and gets up, "W-Well, I'm sure I-It's almost t-time. Ma-maybe we'll talk a-again?" She smiles at me and holds her hand out, I notice it's slightly shaking.
