Darcy's p.o.v
I opened the door to our hotel room and walked inside.
"Where have you been?" A very angry Jack questioned me.
"I went for a walk," I said calmly.
"Why didn't you tell me where you were going? I was worried sick!" He yelled.
"Well after you raped me, I needed to go blow off some steam. I met a lovely woman and her daughter and she listened while I talked!" I screamed back.
"I'm your husband, I need to know where you are and who your with at all times!" He yelled.
"No husband of my mine should hurt me the way you did Jack," I spat. He stood up and walked over to me. He slapped me hard on the cheek. "How dare you?!" I screamed. The next thing I knew his fist collided with my stomach causing me to double over in pain. He pulled my hair and punched me in my left eye.
"Don't ever speak to me like that again!" He yelled pushing me on the ground. I hit my head with a thud and cried out. He kicked me in the ribs and walked away. I struggled to catch my breathe. I help my chest while breathing heavily. Darkness invaded my vison and I blacked out.
-
I woke up with a groan and slowly sat up. I found my self laying in bed. My head was throbbing. The bedside table had a glass of water and two advil. I grabbed the glass and popped the pills into my mouth, taking a sip of the water. I looked around amd Jack was no where to be found.
"Jack?" I called. No answer. I went to stand up from the bed but dizziness hit me in the face and I nearly fell. Someone caught me quickly.
"Are you alright?" They asked. I looked up to see the bell boy from breakfast.
"I'm fine, thank you," I said.
"The door was wide open and I saw you laying on the floor passed out," he said.
"I fell and hit my head," I lied.
"That would explained the bump," he said. I touched my head and sure enough there was a bump.
"Must have it pretty hard," I chuckled.
"I saw your husband leave on the way up when I came to collect the trays," he said.
"Thank you," I said again.
"It wasn't a problem. I've gotta get back to work though, I'll see.you around," he said getting up.
"Thank you, really," I said. He smiled and left the room. I stood from the bed nearly falling but I cought myself. I walked slowly into the bathroom to check the damage. I looked in the mirrior and my left eye was purple. My cheek was slightly bruised but nothing I couldn't cover up with a little bit of make-up. I lifted my shirt up with difficulty and I had a huge bruise along my chest where he had hit me. I took off all my clothes and turned on the shower. I stepped in and let my muscles relax.
"Darcy?!" Jack yelled.
"In the shower!" I answered. I heard the door open and his foot steps got closer. The bathroom door opened. I heard him moving around a little.
"Did I do this?" He asked walking into the shower. He traced his fingers over my chest and eye.
"It's ok, you were drunk," I said.
"No it's not Darcy. I hurt you. I'm a monster," he said. "A man should never hit his wife no matter what happens," he looked down.
"I'm used to it by now," I said.
"What?" He said.
"I had this bully in high school, her name was Alex," I said.
"Wait, Alex?" He questioned.
"Yea why? Do you know her?" I asked.
"My sisters name is Alex," he said.
"Your sister is Alex Johnson? The Alex who bullied me for years and made my life a living hell?" I squeeked.
"I guess so," he sighed. "She's changed I promise," he said.
"She's homophobic, she bullied me because my parents are gay!" I screeched.
"Well actually, she's lesbian and has a girlfriend. Her name is Jessica," he said.
"Oh," I said surprised.
"Yea she came out at her graduation, even kissed Jessica in front of the whole school," he laughed. He grabbed the shampoo bottle and began messaging it into my hair.
"I really missed a great graduation didn't I?" I laughed.
"Yea it was great," he said. I washed the soap from my hair and he did the same thing with the conditioner.
"I miss home," I sighed. "I was thinking we could leave in a week instead of two," I bit my lip.
"Of course, I'll rebook our flights," he said. I grabbed the bottle of shampoo and began messaging his scalp. He rinsed it out when I finished and I repeated it with conditioner. We both rinsed our hair one last time before stepping out and grabbing a towel each. We dried off and changed back into our clothes.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," he said. I pecked his lips. "Want to go out for dinner?" He asked.
"What? What time is it?" I asked.
"It's nearly 6," he said.
"I want to stay in and cuddle," I said.
"Ok," he said. "I'll order room survice," he kissed me on the lips. I pulled away.
"Ok," I said. We walked out of the bathroom and into the main part of the small hotel room. He grabbed the phone and dialed the number.
"Hello, can I get room survice?" He asked. "Yes alright," he said. He ordered a bunch of different things and hung up the phone.
"Did you order any shrimp?" I asked.
"What kind of husband would I be if I forgot my wife loved to eat shrimp?" He said.
"A pretty terrible one," I laughed.
"Room survice!" The familiar bell boy called. I stood up and opened the door. "How's your head?" He asked me pushing the cart in.
"It's fine thank you," I said. "He found me on the floor after I had hit my head," I explained to Jack with wink.
"Thank you," he mumbled.
"Happy to help," the bell boy said. He left the room leaving us in silence. I walked over and sat on the couch with Jack. I cuddled into his side as he got everything ready. He handed me a glass of red wine.
"I thought I was too young," I teased taking a sip. He just shrugged his shoulders.
"No body needs to know," he said. I laughed. That night me and my husband spent the night talking and laughing together while we enjoyed our delicous meal.
