"ONE...TWO..THREE..MINDLESS!!" we all chanted while standing in a circle before going on stage. I danced around the stage as I sang. If it wasn't for the music, I wouldn't be doing any of this and I definitely wouldn't be here.Everyone knows us as Mindless Behavior, but I just think of us as four boys who love the art of singing and dancing.
Me, I just think of myself as regular ole' Craig Crippen from Phillidelphia. I'm still not used to all the fame. Sometimes, I even forget to look when I hear the name Prodigy. People say I always seem sad or angry in interview and pictures but that's never the case. I simply don't like being in the spotlight as the center of attention. It's just that when I'm singing and dancing on stage I become a totally different person.
Everyone thinks we have thes perfect celeberity lifestyles. But, the fast life isn't always the best life. They think its all about the luxury suites, fancy clothes, the big parties, and the money, but it's not. To be honest, that's no where near what all of this is about.
People make it seem like we have all these free for all days on tour but we don't. Everything is about work. We have a few days off here and there, but not many. We have time for friends but we don't get to see them everyday.
Don't get me wrong though, I, personally love being on tour. I like that I get to travel around the world doing what I love. I love the fans because I wouldn't be here without them but they overexaturate about almost everything. They always think everyone you hang out with is your girlfriend. They think that we all act like we're brothers for the cameras but hate each other secretly. They all think that every time we say or do something wrong, that we don't love them anymore.
People make it seem as if our managers just up and let girls go on tour with us, but they don't. We'd be dead if any girl besides our moms or Keisha stepped foot into our hotel rooms or our tour bus. No one is going to just let us hold a contest and to girls around the U.S. with us, let alone all the way to Paris. The only girls that travel with us are the back up dancers that we barely see. We only see them at rehearsals, concerts, rehearsals for concerts, and occasional lunches or dinners.
We've met girls while on tour but they travel on their own accord to their own expense. Keisha and Walter say that they don't want to be responsible for anybody getting pregnant or ruining our image by instagramming or tweeting every breath we take and every step we take.
And all these girls think that just because I said Ilike girls that wear tights and Jordans means that I'm going to fall madly in love with them just because they're wearing tights and Jordans. Even though I love all my fans they go too far by trying to get noticed. I love girls who areconfident but if you're doing anything just because I said I like something, that automatically gets you checked off my potential wifey list. Mindless Behavior's fans will stalk you, kidnap you, and rape you if they had the chance. I love TM but those girls are some vicious creatures.
They think everything about us is sexy. I hear kinds of stupid remarks when we're on stage.
"OOhh... look at my baby sexy teeth."
"Omahgawdd, look at that sexy jaw bone."
"Lawwd. That shoulder. God bless his bone structure."
"You saw his ankle?! Girl I could just rip it off his foot just because it's so sexy!"
Even though I sing songs about pretty girls and being ready for love, I don't care about any of that. That's not what I'm focused on in this point of my life. If the right girl comes along, I'm not even sure if I would tell TM about it. If I got a girlfriend she would be all over every social media website, and getting jumped for no reason. I understand teenage girls want attention but no one deserves the kind of attention TM gives when they know one of us are taken.
The other boys don't care about what's seen by the public. I can understand where they're coming from though, we're still regular teenagers. But what they don't understand is that little girls and teenage girls have a way of turning any little detail you give them into a story about how you don't care about TM anymore.
But I, Craig Crippen, am here to let everyone know what really goes on. I want everyone to know the truth about Mindless Behavior and what really goes on behind the scenes. These are my Vigilant Contradictions.
