I'm practically illiterate so you should all be proud that there are some words on this page:

Chapter One:

Jain Landor's P.O.V

It all started with a tweet.

I didn't know that everything in my life could fall apart so quickly.

[One Hour Earlier]

The moon was shining through my partially open window. I felt the brisk, cold air come in contact with my bare limbs. My body shuddered. It was the first night of fall. The season where the leaves change and the air is the perfect temperature. Well, I wish anyways. I live in Austin, Texas, where we only have two seasons: summer, and a colder summer. The first night of fall was just a mere date on my calendar that hung up on my freshly painted walls. However, the fact that it was cool outside was nothing short of a miracle.

I was laying in bed like I always did on school nights. Music was blasting from my headphones, but despite the fact that the volume was turned all the way up, my mind could barely hear it. My thoughts were the only thing consuming my mind. And my thoughts- they only consisted of him. I couldn't help but smile thinking about him. He was the one constant in my life, making me laugh like no one else could. We had only been together for a month, but I could easily say that it had been the best month of my life. He was charming, witty, and kept me on my toes. He was Brant Williams; and he was all mine.

My train of thought was quickly interrupted by the short, high-pitched beeps coming from my

phone. I glanced over, just to see the screen lit by numerous notifications. Not many people texted me, so I was slightly confused. I had a few close friends, but other than that I was a nobody at my school. I didn't talk much, and I was that one girl whose name no one knew. But I was content with it that way. I had no drama in my life and I was perfectly happy. When I saw that Alexa texted me, I should have known that something was wrong. I should have

deleted it, and forgot about it, like I tried to do with our friendship. It's hard to put eleven years of sisterhood down the drain, but it was something that had to be done. Ignoring my instincts, I opened the text. I wish I never did.

{HAVE U SEEN THIS PHOTO OF U THAT WAS TWEETED?!? U LOOK LIKE A TOTAL SLUT! I CAN'T BELIEVE HE PICKED U OVR ME. KARMA'S A BITCH U HOE}

I wasn't even bothered by the rude message she had sent me. I was more concerned about the photo that was posted by @ATXMAKEOUTS on twitter. It was a picture of Brant and I making out at ACL, the biggest musical festival in Texas. It wasn't that bad of a photo, although I did look a bit like a whore, I wasn't sure what the big deal was. The tweet seemed minuscule compared to everything else that was going on in my life. I tossed my phone aside and laid down again. My eyes were having trouble staying open by themselves; my eyelids felt heavy. I was falling fast asleep when my ring tone went off for the second time tonight. Slightly annoyed, I picked up my phone. All the annoyance went away when I saw that it was Brant who texted me. As childish as it seems, I still got butterflies in my stomach every time I saw him or talked to him. The corners of my mouth lifted up to form a smile. But they immediately dropped when I saw what he had sent me. Brant was never a serious texter. I was worried about the text he sent me. Looking back on it now, I knew that I had every right to be.

{DID U SEE THAT PHOTO? WE NEED TO TALK.}

End of Chapter One.
