It is 6am and my alarm goes off. Even though I never went to sleep. I have three papers due today and I had to get them done.
I pick myself up from my desk and lazily walk over to my closet with my hands inside of my sweatpants pocket. I push a strand of my blonde hair back behind my ear as I stare at my options. I decide on navy blue skinny jeans, a maroon T-shirt, and a long sweater. I tie my hair back into a messy bun and put on mascara before putting on my big black glasses. I throw on some black high top converse, grab my bag, and head downstairs.
"Good morning sweetheart!" My mother beams.
I give a fake smile. "Good morning mama." She pulls me in for a hug and plants a kiss on my head.
"Breakfast? I can make eggs, or even-"
"I'm good thanks."
"Are you sure?" My mother asks with a concerned look on her face.
I nod. "I should probably get going anyways."
"Bout time you're ready," My brother, Tyler, complains as he leans in the doorway of the kitchen.
"Oh shut up Ty." I push past him and head outside and sit in the passenger seat to my brothers car.
We don't talk to each other the whole ride to school. Tyler just taps his thumb against the steering wheel as he listens to the radio as he drives. I am listening to my own music as I review for a test that I have today in my first period.
As soon as Ty parks the car, I get out of the car and head straight in to the school building without looking up from my phone. And I totally wish I paid more attention because I plow right into someone.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!"
He laughs. "It's fine."
"I'm really sorry that was totally my fault," I say as I look into the eyes of my victim. They're green. A bright green. And his smile is...amazing. His brown hair is not too long or too short. His blue T-shirt reveals his muscular upper body.
"And it totally isn't that big of a deal," He says with a wink.
I laugh as I feel my face heat up with blush. "Right. Sorry." I resume my journey to my locker, with my phone in my bag this time.
"Hey, do I know you from somewhere?" He asks as he runs to catch up with me.
I shake my head as I quickly glance at the masterpiece of a man next to me. "No, not that I know of." I finally arrive at my locker and begin putting in my combo.
He casually leans against the locker next to me with his hands in his pockets. "Oh right! Second period Statistics, right?"
I nod. "Oh yeah. That's where."
"You don't talk much, do you?" He asks with a laugh.
"Sometimes."
"Okay, so I'll see you later then uh...What's your name again?"
"Alexis Andrews."
He laughs. "See you later then, Miss Andrews." He salutes me goodbye.
I turn and walk towards my first class, English. That was pretty weird. He's been in my class all semester and now he talks to me?
My best friend, Abigail, slings her arm around my neck. "Hey girlie."
"Hey you."
