"Come on, Come on turn the radio on. Its friday night and i wont be long, gotta do my nails, put my makeup on......" Janette rocked sia 's cheap thrills with her enchanting voice, Aubrie played the guitar while miley played the drums wickedly bringing the whole garage alive. Janette ended the song smoothly and sighed heavily.
"Goldstar janet.. That was totes", miley said and stood up from the stool, with her face beaming with a smile.
"I didnt think i did well "she replied and sat into an armchair.
" I mean i... almost wrecked the song". Aubrie snorted, "i don't think so,with this song, i think we stand a chance to be awarded the school's best playband this year at the prom!",
"Expect you don't count the glitz band as competition "miles added.
Janette rolled her eyes. Miles was right. The glitz band have always been their biggest competition apart from that there was Tasha Randy, the band greatest rival /enemy /school's Queen B/glitz band leadsinger . She and Janette had been best friend in elementary school but always trust Tasha who would always try to steal your spotlight and this time it was jake , janet 's longtime crush she stole.
"Earth to janet ", miles snapped her finger in her face bringing her back to reality.
" you know what girls they dont really bug. We are great and we can do this", Janette said confidently.
Aubrie smiled "That' s the spirit"
Eager to change the topic,Janette blurted "Dick hasnt asked me to the prom yet", Dick was Janette's boyfriend.
Aubrie rolled her eyes and replied "i doubt if his ever going to ask you"
"Aubrie! ", miles yelled at her
" What? - that guy is a total asshole and so fuckin loud ", she retorted
" Yeah i know" Janette cracked a painful laugh and lowered her eyes "but i need him to ask me if he doesnt no one else would but trust me i plan to breakup with him after the prom",
"hello baby girl, i havent got a single guy to ask me to the prom ", miley chipped in
" Are you kidding me" Aubrie widen her eyes in disbelief. Miles lowers her eyes sadly and replied
"Doug brokeup with me last week ",
" Wow girl! why didnt you tell us eariler ", Janette asked
" i was scared and i wasnt ready to acknowledge it. I was actually hoping he would change his mind and comeback to me but when i heard some girls on tuesday in the locker discussing that he had sex with anna i knew i had lost him ", she wiped her eyes realising that she was actually crying.
" Oh my Godness, i can't believe Doug could do that to you am really sorry miles ", janette said. She knew how much miles loved Doug. The two girls moved over to miles to console her.
" Ok alright with this stuff.. Lets go grab some ice-cream ", Aubrie snapped. Miles rolled her eyes at aubrie because she knew she wasnt really the consoling type.
" Hmm i dont think i can guys", she glanced at her wristwatch.
"why miles? ", The two girls asked at the sametime making miles chuckle a little.
" Dave is coming over to take me, mom and jack for shopping. So i gotta go. See ya later.. ", she hurriedly left the garage.
" Well that leaves us.. Ice-cream or not ", Janette turned her attention to Aubrie.
" Well.. "she said scratching the back of her head." Have got maths assigment.. Catch ya later ", she picked up her backpack and left. Janette turned and walked towards the house. Tomorrow was a big day ahead.
