He rolls over, groaning at the thought that he has to wake up and go to work. At the thought that he has to meet hundreds of patients today. At the thought of meeting some patients today.
She wakes up to the snore of the man sleeping beside her.
She rolls over, groaning at his snore. God, can't this guy just go and see a doctor about his snoring? She hasn't had a goodnight sleep since she said yes to his proposal 3 years ago.
Elliot Jones-Dupré forces himself out of the bed. He did not waste hundreds of thousands of dollars to study medicine, be a doctor and laze around in his bed.
Elise Reynolds forces herself out of the bed. She didn't want to spend another minute in bed, the sound of her sleeping husband intruding her thoughts.
Both sighs. Both wonder whether they made the right decision : him with his career, her with her life partner.
