Chapter 24

Elijah always responded. We began to move quickly through the halls leading the  randevu point. As we got closer the smell of blood thickened as we approached our destination. My blood ran cold at the sight before me. I emagine that this is what the pits of hell looked, most of my men were severely injured and a few were dead. I looked down at the sound of coughing.  It was my brother.
"Thanks god Elijah, what the hell happened here?"

"We were ambushed brother... Everything was fine up until we entered this corridor. We had the girl and the out of nowhere the power went out."

A scream rang throughout the  halls

"Oh, god Alice Riley ,"cried as he ran throws the sound .

I cursed and  quickly followed after him. And what we saw next was unfathomable.  Alice's hands and feet were bound to the wall and bruises littered her body. You could tell that her limbs were about to give out but that wasn't the worst of it. There was a bomb strapped to her chest.

You coward  do you really intend to hid behind a little girl  I screamed in outrage .

If I were you I would watch my mouth did you forget that I'm the one with detonator.

As soon as I saw him I graded my gun and  shot him in the hand, he screamed in agony as the detonated scattered across the room near my feet.All the while he was  distracted some of my men managed to sneak up behind knock him out . He didn't deserve a quick death so l would make him suffer later. More importantly Riley and Alice were safe and I couldn't be happier.

I ran over to Alice and start to very carefully disarm the bomb and then unchanged her .  She started to fall  forward  most likely from exhaustion . I cradled her in my arms and she instantly wrapped her tiny ones around my neck .  Riley spoke three words that made my heart swell.
"Let's go home."

Two weeks pasted and everything just seems to be falling in to place, Riley and I have been  inseparable.  We were currently laying in bed just enjoying each other's company when loud bang noses started . I looked at Riley and told him to stay here. I graded my gun and apothecary the front door and opened it . 
What the hell I thought as I looked at my sister.
"What were you thinking Katerina  I could have shot you," I sighed as I put my gun down.
"Oh Will I can't  do this,"  she cried as ran into my arms.
"What's wrong ,"I said rubbing small circle in her back.
"Mama and papa have got mad ,I can't marry him!"
"Please let me stay here," she begged giving me the puppy eyes. I sighed knowing I would lose this battle. 
Your the best I love you she hugged me .

At that moment Riley walked in looking hurt.
"Riley it's not what it looks like ."
"That's what they all say" he spat and stormed off.
"You idiot why you go and have to say that," Katerina scowled .
"This is such a mess but don't worry I'll fix I owe you one anyway."

Riley's POV
What the hell I don't even know what to think . I flopped on the bed and started to sob. I new it  how could someone like him want someone like me he's perfect and I'm broken , and compared to her I look like trash.  I heard the door open  and the sound of heels .
"What are you doing here are you go to tell me to pack my shit and get out, if so fuck you just leave me alone."
"I think there been a misunderstanding ,"she began .
"What is there to understand your his girlfriend aren't you ,"I accused her.
"God no I would never date my brother ,"she shuttered  in d discuss .
Wait what ?
"My names Katerina Tate, it's so good to finally meet you when my brother told me that he found someone that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with I was over the moon with joy. "
"He said that ,god I'm so stupid."
"Well no that that's all straighten  out you should probably go talk to him before he starts crying."
I giggled at the thought  William crying .
I ran down stirs and saw the worried look on his face and ran over to him.
Riley I know it look bad but I can - I cut him off and  kissed him hard .
"I love you," I confessed . He looked shocked
"Say it again he said ."
"I love you!"
"And I love you too Riley," he replied just before kissing me passionately on the lips.
