When I came out of the movie theatre, I had the "Summer Nights" song stuck in my head.
"That movie sucked" said Clint.
In my head, I was thinking how the hell would he say that. Especially infront of the movie theatre people. And, me! That movie was awesome. I look into the reflection of the metal pole and I just realized John Travolta's hair looks kinda like mine! Well, I have blue eyes with dark brown hair. And, his hair style is like mine. Well, I am in the group called team busters aka we grease our hair and wear leather jackets, if you catch my drift. My best friend in team busters Joey, is the only guy who likes movies and musicals. I know it sounds gay but, is it so bad for guys to like musicals? And, I get it, Joey and Zachary sitting in a tre- I forgot to mension. My name is Zachary. But, seriously we are not gay we just like musicals. Joey's favorite is West Side Story but mine is definetly Grease. Well, anyways one thing I like to do with out group is every Friday we go to a diner called "The Juke Scoop" and just hang out.
1 year later...
"Yo pretty boy! You lookin' at west gay story over there?!" said Tebie from the Sifers group.
Yup, the word got out. I guess my brother just had to go out and say I like musicals and danced to grease lightning.
"Nah, I'm just doing something useful with my life unlike you Tebie!" I shout and spit on the ground.
"Oh! Alright. Mrs Zacharina" says Tebie and then bows while his mates chuckle.
Well, the Sifers group is the opposite of us, they wear dirty stained tees with flip flops. They have been our enemy group since grade school. I just always ignore what they say.
As I was walking home, I see a poster next to the hotdog stand in 8th street. I thought it said "Greasers 90 thousand" which was a name of hair grease. But, I was wrong my eye sight was getting worse day by day but when I walked closer to the poster it said. "Grease 2 Auditions 14th street, Clomers building". I was so shocked. I live in 13th street and I can walk to 14th street in under 5 minutes! I started to read more of it and it said "Audition held from tomorrow till next month". I ran home and started to watch the original Grease Musical. I was practicing singing and acting for a whole week. After I prepared I decided not to tell my parents about it until after I know if I got the part or not. They can be a little uptight sometimes.
"Hello, my name is Zachary Evan Preston. I am 17 years old." I said to the people marking my audition.
"Hello, Zachary! Pleased to meet you, please tell us which scene you would like to take part in" said one of the audition people.
"I would like to sing and act out the summer nights scene" I said in a confident voice.
After my audition I felt really really confident. I thought it was time I tell Joey about it.
