Her small soft hands stay stuffed into her red petticoat as her blue emerald eyes stare at the star night sky as if waiting for a falling star. "Do you wonder about the future?" She asks quietly making her companion look at her suddenly.
"Sometimes." He says quietly making her glance at him. He knew she was in a deep thought again but couldn't comprehend the words coming to his mind.
Her brown Uggs make a squish as she walks further across the snowy hill, her eyes focused on the kaleidoscope in her mind. The boy walks beside her without a word. His eyes keep drifting back on her face as she's lost in a deep thought.
She never noticed his eyes on her.
He never noticed her thoughts were wrapped around him.
"Hey," he stops walking and makes her bring herself back into reality. "What are you thinking?" He whispers with his breath showing in the air.
Her words got lost in her tongue as she stares at the boy, unable to know what to say. His brown eyes stay put on hers.
She lets herself look away and continues walking. He lets himself stay put as she walked through the December weather leaving him in his place.
"I love you." He mutters under his breath watching her walk away.
He didn't know it'd be the last time he'd ever see her.
