I was sitting home alone on my day off while my boyfriend, Thomas, was out. I wasn't really in a productive mood since it was a hot day and I was just really uncomfortable in general. Knowing that I had to relax and calm myself in a situation like this, I made/grabbed myself my favourite drink and sat down at the cushioned bay window in the attic; a fan blowing in my face to cool me down. But to top it all off, I was going to read a book, a book that I had been aching to read for ages; The Death Cure.

Yes, Thomas played a big part in The Maze Runner Series and yes, I was expected to read the series, but I had just never gotten around to it; plus I had heard some comments on how emotionally wrecking it was and I just wasn't sure if I was ready for this kind of fictional heartbreak. Then again, would I ever be?

"I'm home, love!"A familiar British voice shouted from down stairs. Unsurprisingly, I was too engaged in my book to even notice. It sounded more like a nagging whisper at the back of my mind.
"Love?" The voice called again. Footsteps progressed closer until the little wooden hatch to the attic, creaked open. I finally noticed Thomas and my expression brightened. Thomas started walking closer to where I sat as I placed my book, face down, on the windowsill cushion. Also making sure to carefully doggy ear mark the page in the process. I then got up and ran toward the dirty blonde haired boy. His arms were outstretched, ready for my evening cuddle tackle. That's exactly what it was. I jumped into his arms and the force of my attack knocked him off his feet and pushed him onto the furry carpet. A heavy but sharp breath left his lips, sending both of us into fits of laughter.

"I missed you" I confessed as I lay in his arms. "I missed you too, hon" he whispered softly into my hear, his warm breath tickling my neck, sending icy shivers down my spine. A small, genuine smile made it's way to my lips. Thomas copied my action. His arms wrapped around my stomach and his chin dug gently in-between my neck and shoulder. I snuggled into his grasp...
'Ding ding'... Thomas got a text. I let out a short sigh, "shouldn't you check who that was?" I questioned. "Nah, who ever it is can wait. I'm not giving this moment up for the world."
He's so adorable.

Finally, I got the motivation to get up off of the carpet. I unwrapped Thomas' arms from around me and pushed myself up, letting out an exaggerated groan. Once I was standing and had had a stretch, I looked down at my boyfriend rolling around on the ground, obviously not possessing the same energy and motivation as me to get up. I extended my arm in his direction and his hand clasped onto mine. I pulled him up and held his hand until he had found his balance. His eyes were droopy and his mouth slightly hung open.
"Why don't I just order pizza tonight?" I suggested, getting a slow nod to show that he agreed with me.

I chuckled at the sleepy boy in front of me while I dragged him over and plopped him on the black bean bag next to the window where I was reading about ten minutes earlier. I picked up my book to continue when Thomas asked me something. "What book?" He mumbled.
"The Death Cure" I replied bluntly. "Page?" He said with more of a worried or concerned look, "Uh, 249. Why?"
His eyes widened. He lifted his arm up and hit the book out of my hand."Hey! What the-" I screeched, soon cut off by him then standing up and sitting down on the windowsill, squishing me against a white wall. Arms wrapped around me and engulfed my body into a tight, loving hug. "I was reading that" I said while pouting like a little kid. A pair of soft lips kissed my forehead,

"I know Y/N" he murmured into my Y/H/C.
"I know..."

Hey guys!
Still open for requests and in desperate need for them.
I don't want to make these Author notes too long so if I have something really important to say then I will make a separate chapter for it. Okay, cool, good.
Have a great morning/day/evening/night!
