I'm swimming slow and steady. My blood was pumping after what happened. I made it to the surface. I look around and spot land I begin swimming in that direction. I made it. I flopped on shore, my scales began to dry out reveling my legs. My nails sparked bright yellow, as sun the sun shined on them. I stood up and tried to find my way to civilization. The sand was warm and squishy under my feet and in between my toes. This was all new to me, for I have never been out of the water. My home is 1,000 leagues under the sea, in a very large boat. I've been there since I was a baby, My mother had died after giving birth to me, something my father won't let me forget. "It's not my fault" I'd tell him, but it didn't matter he was stuck on the thought on my mother lying lifeless only to have a new baby daughter and a big responsibility. I love him, but I'm tired of being his disappointment. I was still walking when I heard some singing. I peeked through the forest to find a bunch of humans gathered around some guy singing. It was beautiful. I saw a beach towel and some clothes out of the corner of my eye. I grabbed the stuff and ran. I began putting on the clothes, they were very baggy but they worked for now. I noticed this square item in the pocket of the shorts. I dug my hand in my pocket and pulled it out. It was small and thin. It vibrated and I dropped it. I picked it up again, reading the words that said "@crystalist123 liked your photo". Then I the read the bottom of the screen "slide to unlock" I did what it said to do, and it showed me a bunch of squares with pictures and writing under each one. I clicked on the one that said camera.
