It wasn't really how I imagined it would be. I thought, going on vacation with my judgemental father, overprotective mother, favored siblings and their annoying friends would ruin my life, considering the fact I had to leave the girl of my dreams, Amanda. 

I sighed as my feet step on the ship's floor. As soon as I hear my parents ranting, I quickly grab my phone and headphones, putting them on as soon as possible. I really didn't like the idea of being with them. They always say they care and understand me but all they do is rant and talk all their shit to make me feel like failure. The sound of children laughing with excitement didn't help either. It was like hearing little devils as they jump for joy meanwhile, I was in the deep pools of depression. Music was the only thing that helped. 

It wasn't long until we could finally find our room. It was huge, damn huge. I couldn't help but open my mouth and say something that would totally make my sister, Katie bother me

"Wow" I say quietly

"I knew you would like it" Katie says nudging me with her elbow

I narrow my eyebrows and shake my head as a sign for her to stop bothering me. Annie, on the other hand was looking at me up and down to see what the hell was going on. It didn't really bother me considering the fact, I was already used to her observant personality or whatever the fuck that's called. I smirked at her but she gave me a blank face and walked out. Weirdo!

"We're gonna have so much fun tonight, I wont even remember I'm going in highschool in 75 days" Katie says proudly crossing her arms

Both Annie and I kept silent. Both my brother, Ryan and her sister, Hayley was now probably in the pool. They're not dating but I sometimes wonder how they always sneak around talking about "who-knows-what"

"How bout you, Annie-ans?" Katie breaks the silence

"Umm, I dont know. I kind of felt like I needed to study or something" She says shrugging

"Oh come on you bookworm! We're on vacation! You two are definitely the weirdest people I will ever know" Katie throws her hands up in the air to surrender

"Yeah, okay. I'll try to have as much of fun with you Katie-Kate. Even without getting drunk or anything" Annie sighs

"Yeah, me too. I'm already here. What else is there to do? Think of what I would have been doing with Amanda?" I say rolling my eyes

Katie rolls her eyes at me then suddenly, Annie whispers something to her. It made me snicker considering I was there but they made me feel like I wasn't even looking. Annie finally finished and she looked down to the ground as Katie gasps and shakes her head

"We'll let him know later on. We can't ruin his day even more" Katie says pursing his lips as she looks at me

"What are you guy--" 

Of course I got caught of by mom

"Who's ready to go explore the place?" Mom says wiggling her eyebrows

I groan as I pick my stuff up to head out the door. Annie went trailing behind me with a book in her hand. She was kind of nerdy but she was still kind of cool at the same time. I shook my head knowing we're on vacation but she's reading The 6th volume of The Maze Runner. I giggled as I turn my back to look at her. She continued reading as if I wasn't even there laughing at her so I decided to break the silence

"I thought Thomas already died when Newt killed him at the 5th book?" I chuckle

She then stopped walking and looked up from her book. She smirks and and looks at me like I'm crazy

"Theresa died you dumbass. I bet you never even read Chapter 27 of that book" She says shaking her head

"Well it was a theory" I say putting my headphones on

We got to the arcade where we all hanged out. Dad still kept on ranting how I'm not being social. Dad was a pain in the ass. It made me even more annoyed how he embarrassed me in front of other people. I walked out and started walking as far as possible from them.

 I hate him.

 I wished he died.

 I wish he wasn't even my dad.

Fuck him.

All these thoughts kept running through my mind but I kept it to myself. I never really had someone to tell them to so I think I'll  just keep them until I'm dead meat. I looked around, looking for a good place to get things off my mind when suddenly, I see Annie being bothered by some teenage boys

"Come on. Show us what you got!" A blonde hunk says checking her out

"Yeah. Don't be a wimp" Another says smirking

"Leave me alone!" Annie says trying to avoid them

But it was too late. The blonde guy grabbed her wrist while the other grabs the book from her hands

"So you want to play it this way, little girl?" The guy says waving the book in the air so Annie couldnt reach it

"No give it back, you jerks!" Annie says trying to let go

"Aww. Little girl wants her book back!" The blonde guy laughs and winces

The other guy then throws the book to the ground and steps on it. The look on Annie's face made me feel guilty for not helping her. I finally decided to speak up

"Hey! You leave the girl alone" I say sterly, approaching them

"And what are you gonna do about it? Tell her mommy?" The guys chuckle

It only made my mood worse. I wanted to get all my anger out from dad and now, I think I just know how to do it. I then punched them both in the face. I didn't care if my knuckles were broken. All I anted to do is get my anger all out.

"Thanks, Bre-Brennan" Annie stutters

"Dont mention it. Let's get you to your room" I say leading the way

I look back at the guys to see their faces all bleedy. It only made me happy though.

This is gonna be a long vacation. I sigh
