Cyclone jumped at the sound of the door bell, she nearly got up to answer the door but remembered she wasn't allowed to. Jane answered the door and Cyclone heard Jane make some weird joke which made both of them laugh, adults have terrible jokes. The other laugh sounded like a boy, Cyclone wandered to the front hallway and peaked through the crack of a door to see who her tutor was. He was indeed a boy, Cyclone could tell because he had side burns, He had brown hair that reached to the top of his neck. His hair was middle-parted at the front and quite thick, he had a friendly face and seemed like he was new to teaching.

While she'd been looking at her tutor she hadn't realised the door to the front hallway opening and now the man had seen her,

"Oh, hello." He said in a kind tone. "You must be Cyclone, my name is Mr. Blackblood." He held out his hand so Cyclone stepped forward and shook it. "Although," He said. "You could just call me Rupert."

"Okay," Cyclone agreed. "Nice to meet you Rupert."

The kettle was boiling when Cyclone finished her breakfast, she put a bookmark in her book before closing it and going to the kitchen. Jane was standing there pouring the water from the kettle into a teacup. Cyclone didn't understand what was so good about tea, she'd taken a sip of Jane's tea once and it had been extremely bitter and too hot, (hot chocolate tasted much better).

Cyclone sat down at the table with a hot chocolate while Rupert and Jane drank tea, Rupert took a sip before sitting the mug down and giving Cyclone an introduction,

"I'm very Glad to be here Cyclone, as you know my name is Rupert. However what you might not know is that you will be my first student, believe it or not I myself was home-schooled for a great deal of my school years. I know that your tutor is someone you'll be seeing a lot and it's someone you'll want to get along with, unfortunately my tutor wasn't very nice and we didn't get along. The reason I became a tutor was to teach kids just like you, and I hope that we'll get along."

"Me too." Cyclone said happily.

Cyclone quickly floated out of the memory, she remembered not seeing Mr. Blackblood for a few weeks and although she didn't make very many friends while she was being home-schooled she thought that it would be good to go through the memories once again. She flew past more of her memories to her first lesson.

'Okay,' Cyclone thought. 'Time for school! It's gonna be lots of fun.' (She never really had this thought about school again).

The door opened in the front hallway to reveal a smiling Mr. Blackblood, he gave Cyclone a wave as he walked inside.

In a few minutes they were sitting at a table upstairs, "Okay," Rupert said. "Are you ready to learn the alphabet?"

Cyclone nodded. For the next few hours Rupert was writing letters one at a time on pieces of paper and getting Cyclone to draw them and say them. Cyclone already knew a few letters and could spell her name but she didn't know the order the alphabet went in or how to draw a lot of the letters. As the day progressed Cyclone learnt seven new letters.

When Jane found out that Cyclone had managed to learn seven new letter she was extremely proud of her.

By the end of the week Cyclone had somehow managed to learn the entire alphabet off by heart. This impressed Jane even further, the next subject to be learnt was numbers. Based on Cyclone's demonstration with the alphabet Rupert predicted it would take roughly the rest of term to learn one through to a hundred. Cyclone proved him wrong by learning it in half the time, "Her progress is nothing short of a miracle. Cyclone is an extremely intelligent young girl, you should be very proud." Cyclone heard Rupert say to Jane.

Cyclone smiled a bit and ran back to her room, she found some paper and a pencil and started drawing some stuff, mostly more characters like Trotter from her brother's books but some other stuff as well, like video game characters from her favourite games.

Next week Cyclone started a new subject that most kids in Kindergarten didn't do, she was extremely excited and couldn't wait to see what it was.
