Moving In

Gentle winds blew through your soft (H/C) locks as you walked towards the trunk of your mother's car.  You two were moving in with her girlfriend and her son. Apparently, you are a big sister to an annoying twelve-year old.

You snorted at the thought while pulling out the luggage out of her car. Your (E/C) eyes investigated the area, small shops were down each block to the left. The trees around slowly crippled with age as their once youthful leaves browned and eventually fell. Only to get crushed by our feet. You glared at the ground decorated with a variety of autumn's colors. "(Y/N)?" Elena, your mother called out. (Sorry, I just don't want to keep writing "(M/N)")  "Are you okay? You seem rather distant."

You managed to forge a smile, "I'm fine, just tired." You weren't lying about being tired, you guys have been traveling for hours. Elena gave you a warm smile.

"I know it.. Your father leaving us for his mistress is quite takes a hard toll on us, but we have to close that book and open up a new one," Elena said, a sad look on her face. "We have to pull through. No matter how hard it is to let go." You grunted, nodding.

"I suppose so. I never expected you to date a girl though. Not that I don't accept it! It's just odd, meh." You said hastily, picking up another suitcase. The front door creaked open, two figures in the doorway.

"Elena!" A feminine voice called out excitedly. A 5'4 woman with long dark brown tresses pulled into a side ponytail, sparkly hazel eyes, with a soft green shirt and burgundy skirt. Next to her was a short boy. He was a carbon copy of this female, the only difference were the outgoing shade of green in his irises and he was a few shades darker than her.

A grin spread across your mother's face. You stared at her with eyes widen and mouth agape. You've never seen your mother light up so fast in your life.

"Carla!" The woman named Carla ran down the steps, smiling. Your mother was quickly walking to her, that cheshire-cat grin still plastered on her youthful face. The two bodies collided, their arms wrapped around each other. Their noses touched, shaking their heads.

'An Eskimo kiss? Wow, Mom. You have better relationship than my past ones.' You thought. The young boy's nose scrunched up at the sight of the women's lips touching. The corners of your mouth twitched upwards. They pulled away reluctantly. "This is my daughter, (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Carla Jeager and her son, Eren," Elena smiled at you. Eren gave you a small wave.

An unfamiliar hand grasped yours. "Your mother has told me so much about you, dear! You look tired. Here, let me help you with your bags," Carla said, letting go of my hands and grabbed my suitcase.

"O-o-oh, t-t-thank you.." You quietly said, scratching your wrist nervously. Elena rose an eyebrow at your shy behavior.

"No need to be shy! Come in!" Carla smiled, motioning with her hands to come in. "Eren! Come help me."

"Yes, Mom!" He scurried down the porch and intertwined his fingers into the handle of the suitcase. You took a good look at the house. It was a fair size for a family. The house was painted one of the darkest shades of gray with white borders. The door was painted the purest of whites and the wooden porch looked like it has recently been replaced. You turned your head to the right.

Fog and the tips of the trees is all you saw. You felt the dark aura surrounding it. Chilling winds blew with a noise, sending goosebumps through your entire being. You grunted. Eren seemed to notice your stare at the abandoned area. He gently tugged at the sleeve of your hoodie. Your (E/C) eyes shifted to him, rising an eyebrow at him. "I'll tell you about the forest when my mom isn't around," He said, his eyes filled with determination. A tiny smile formed on your face, running your fingers through his unruly hair.

"Ok then," You snorted as you started to walk with the young boy. He furrowed his dark brown eyebrows and pursed out his bottom lip. 'Why does he look so focused?' You thought to yourself.

A sigh escaped your lips as you patted down the wet strands of your (H/C) tresses with a small towel. You were wearing a silk (F/C) tank top with black basketball shorts. "Nothing a shower can't do.." You walked out of your bathroom, opening your eyes to be greeted with the twelve year old. A squeak escaped your lips upon seeing him. "Eren! You scared me!" You whisper-shouted, holding your hand to your heart in attempt to calm down your heart rate.

"I told you I was going to tell you about the forest. I always keep my word," He replied, crossing his arms. You nodded. "It's a long story. So, I suggest you sit down," Eren said as he strode towards your bed. You let out a breath, shaking your head.

"Ok, so what about this forest?" You asked, sitting down on your memory foam bed. You pulled your legs up to your torso. Eren clapped his hands together and took in a breath. 'Shit.' You thought.

"You have heard of werewolves, right?" Eren asked. You nodded.

"But they don't exist," You said, checking your nails.

"Ah-ah-a! That is where you are wrong! There is this strange family that live in the woods! Two of them were notorious thugs, one is a prostitute and the other one is my friend! But! She rarely comes to school on full moons and she misses all school events at night! Not to mention she smells like dead animals!" Eren exclaimed, flailing his arms.

"Maybe her guardians prefer her not to go. You seem extremely worried about her. Perhaps you have a crush, Eren?" He tensed up and his cheeks slowly turned red.

"N-no! I'm.. Just looking out for her! I love- I mean like her! Ugh! Never mind!" He jumped off my bed and ran to the door. You started laughing at the boy's denial of feelings. He mumbled inaudible words as he closed your bedroom door.

"Silly boy.. Don't deny your feelings for her," You whispered under your breath, climbing into your sheets. Your arm reached over to the switch, turning it off. You stared out the window. The moon's silvery gaze stared into your room, illuminating your soft (s/t) skin. Your eyes were locked onto your window. The night sky at its darkest. The little gases of light looked like snowflakes from afar. Darkness took over your vision as you fell into your slumber.

The last thing you heard were calls of wolves and the rustling of bushes.
