I'm a big lover of dresses. They are so pretty and girly in the summer, giving you a chance to show some skin and feel beautiful. In the winter they offer class and something different to baggy jumpers and jeans. For me, I find it hard to wear dresses. Whether it is the fit of a dress, or the length, maybe even the colour.
Having the confidence to wear a dress, for me is extremely hard. I don't have the nicest legs but why should pointing out your flaws when you're stood in front of the mirror with a cute on make you think you are unable to wear it. Last summer I decided to buy a few dresses, that I really liked and made myself wear them.
On Holiday I find it the easiest, as no one knows you and will never see you again. Being home, and going out in a dress is a massive step for me, but knowing i loved the dress and felt comfortable in it really helped boost my confidence. I decided to wear it on a school trip with all my friends. We had all made a deal to get our legs out, making me feel a lot better and stopping me from worrying that I'd be the only one with leg on show. Turning up to school in a white, above the knee dress was a big step, but one I am so glad I took. My friends around me helped me gain the confidence I needed to feel comfortable in the dress and make it so much easier to relax.(I even got a compliment off a guy I use to like, hey;-))
Wearing clothes you love, and admire on others, whether it's a dress or not, shouldn't stop you from being able to wear it. Being confident in that one piece of clothing is never going to grow and expand unless you take the leap and let others see you in it. So, Whether it's a new dress, top or pair of shoes, buy them and experiment with them. You'll find a way to wear them how you feel comfortable and love, while feeling confident. Trust me, you'll feel so good about wearing it, that everyone will see your confidence and compliment you because you look flawless
