Abby is dreading this talk with Pike. But she knows she has to try. If this doesn't work, she'll lose Marcus. A man she has grown to love.

She hears Pike talking to Hannah, but she can't understand a word they're saying. She's still in shock.

Pike sees her and walks towards her.

"Tell me its not true." Abby asks him, keeping her distance.

"I'm sorry." Pike says, "I know how much you care for Marcus."

"Even on the Ark," Abby argues, "we made exceptions for the people who benefitted our group. Don't think of them as criminals. Think of them as an engineer. A soldier. A leader." Her voice cracks at the last word.

A leader

That defined Marcus. That's who he was. He was a natural born leader.

"You're husband benefitted the group." Pike snaps back at her, "Did you argue against floating him?"

"No." Abby says and she pauses, "And it haunts me to this day."

"This wasn't an easy decision Abby. But it is the right one." Pike says, trying to get his point across.

"Let me show you something." Abby says, grabbing him by the elbow and leading him into a closet.

"What are you doing?" Pike asks.

She lifts her shirt up aso that her lower back is showing. She turns away from him so he can see her scars.

"Those look like shock lash marks." Pike says, inspecting them.

She lets her shirt back down and turns toward him. "That's because they are." She says.

"When we first got down here, I broke the law. A lot. Marcus thought down here had to be like up there." Abby pauses, "But it doesn't."

"So?" Pike asks.

"So. We don't have to be cruel and ruthless and brutal anymore. We can bend the law. Make exceptions." Abby says

"What do you want me to do with the resistance? The criminals? What do you want me to do with Marcus?" Pike asks. "Cause they can't stay in camp." Pike quickly adds.

"Banish them." Abby says.

Pike chuckles, "and what would that do? Allow Marcus to run to the coalition and tell them everything. And our people would think I'm weak. I can't do that." Pike says.

"I knew it. You aren't afraid of what Marcus might or might not tell the coalition. You're afraid of your reputation. You are a coward!" Abby yells.

"Unless you want to die right next to Marcus I suggest you shut up." Pike says.

"Maybe that would be better since we are all going to die anyway." Abby says.

"Are you questioning my leadership?" Pike asks.

"I'm questioning your morals. Your values." Abby says.

"I m doing the right thing for our people. For us." Pike says sternly.

"For us? Or for you?" Abby says. She is met by silence. "At least let me say goodbye." She pleads.

"Of course." Pike says, "I'll arrange it."

Abby reaches for the door handle. She opens the door.

"And Abby?" Pike says.

"Yes?" She manages to get out.

"You'll need to be there for the execution tomorrow." Pike tells her.

"Excuse-" her voice cracks again. She coughs then continues, "excuse me?" She tries again.

"Well. We'll need a coroner. You know to pronounce the criminals dead. And you're the closet we've got." Pike says , walking out the door, leaving her to think.

Slightly different form of the recently released deleted scene. If you guy haven't seen it. I believe it is on twitter somewhere.
