Love of Light

Pearly white was the moon of a childhood,
She laughed and swayed, a blue yin and white yang,
The moon challenged the stars among the hood
Of night. A loss for which the moon would hang

From an earthly sky, a lonely specter,
Above a hell and below the heavens.
She was, of course, a vivid collector
For she gathered waves- sweet, lovely beckons-

Crashing and roaring for her misery.
Until, a lull arose, a hymn of fire.
Beneath th'horizon, delivery
From the between of perpetual ire

His gaze consumed hers, his heat a monster.
The sun, her savior and devourer.
