"Ah, fresh air!" I squealed running in circles in the front yard. It was my first time being outside since the incident four weeks ago. I still couldn't go to school but I was finally allowed out with Noah thanks to his incredible negotiating skills. He has to with me at all times and as soon as I started to feel bad or my arm started to hurt to badly I was to come home immediately.
"Calm down, Cinna. We're only going to lunch and the zoo." He chuckled walking to his black ford focus. I quickly followed jumping into the passengers seat.
"Here put this on." He pulled a black beanie out from the middle console. "It's cold out."
Over the few weeks I've been stuck at home it had gotten much colder and thanks to the cloudy sky it was even colder today. Grateful, I took it and put it on.
"Beautiful." He smiled grabbing one of my long blonde curls letting it slip from his hand back to we're it dangled around my weights. Everyone was always jealousy of my long perfect hair saying it was "perfect movie star hair" whatever that meant.
"Thank you." I blushed looking away.
"You know this is a date, right?" He asked as he pulled out of the drive way onto the street.
"D-Date?" I choked.
"Yes, a date." He chuckled grabbing my hand and interlaced his fingers with mine. I felt my face heating up from a deep blush.
"Why would you want to go on a date with m-me? Of all people?" I was utterly shocked.
"I like you. I have for a long time. You're not like everyone else, you don't flaunt your obvious beauty and brains, you are amusing and interesting, and not to sound like a stalker or anything but I've noticed that cute habit you have of rubbing the inside of your shoes together when your nervous and I love watching you read because you make the funniest faces. There are just so many reasons why I think you-" He blinked a few times. "And I totally just made a fool of myself. I'm sorry if I just creeped you out."
I couldn't help but laugh. "No, no! That was sweet! Thank you! I didn't know you like me. To tell you the truth I've liked you for a long time too."
"I know, Kenny told me." He chuckled.
"What?! Not cool! That bastard!" I gasped.
Suddenly his expression turned serious. I was about to ask what was wrong when he spoke. "Do you know how scared I was when I saw you pulled under water? I thought i was never going to see you again."
I saw the pain burning in his eyes as he looked back on the horrid event.
"Well, I'm alive." I raised our intertwined fingers and kissed the top of his hand. I saw the pain the filled his eyes be sucked out and replaced with something else. Joy? I couldn't tell.
HIS POV
"The girl has left her house but he is with her. What do you want us to do?" Jasper my right hand man announced.
"Hmm," Noah sure is being careful when it comes to this little girl, what was her name? Cynthia? Cinna? Yeah that's it, Cinna. What is so special about this HUMAN girl? If only she new what Noah really was, ha! She wouldn't be so quick to be his companion if she knew the truth. The Noah she knows is just a act, a stupid lie. I know what and who he truly is and he can only refuse his true identity for so long. "Just keep an eye on them. Do not attack, today. I want photos of this girl. Keep eyes on her at all times. Now leave me." I dismissed him with a wave of my hand.
"Yes, sir!" He left my office as he was told. Very obedient, just like Noah will be when I'm done with him.
CINNA'S POV
"Noah! Look!" I gasped dragging him to the glass. We looked inside to see a gorgeous white tiger pacing back and forth as another watched him. "I love white tigers!"
"I would have never guessed." He smirked. Rolling my eyes I gave his a playful shove.
"Whatever. Can we get some ice cream?" I asked linking my arm with his.
"Ice cream?! It's sixty-two degrees outside! Woman you're crazy!" He looked at me with wide eyes.
"But I want ice cream..." I blinked a few times looking up at him through my eyelashes. Hopefully this works.
"God, you-fine! If that's what you really want but you have to eat it inside the cafe over there!" He huffed giving me a smile of defeat. It worked!
"Yay!" I cheered dragging him to the ice cream cart across from the cafe.
"The carts not going anywhere slow down!" He laughed. When we got in line he began removing his scarf.
"What are you doing?" I raised a brow.
"Giving you my scarf. I don't want you catching a cold." He smile throwing his scarf behind my head and draped it over my shoulders. When he was about to wrap it around me he stopped and just looked at me.
"What?" I felt myself blush under his gaze. Without a word he bent down and kissed me. A simple yet warm kiss that sent shocked to my lips. But he didn't pull back instead he hovered over my lips as if asking to continue. Before I could let myself over think it I pressed my lips against his wrapping my arms around his neck. Butterflies flew in circles in my stomach and a warmth spread throughout my chest.
"Next!" Interrupted the guy at the cart obviously not caring that we were having a special moment.
Noah pulled back with a nervous laugh. Before he stepped up to the cart he wrapped his long scarf loosely around my neck a few times.
"Chocolate, please." I told the man behind the cart watching Noah out of the corner of my eye. He was smiling to himself as he fished out a few bills from his wallet.
