The eyes belonged to a boy who looked around Cara's age with brown curly hair and tattooed covered arms that made him look somewhat intimidating. Cara flickered her eyes back down to her book not wanting catch anyone's unwanted attention by staring. "He's a psychopath you know" said a voice from behind her.
Cara dropped her book from her hands and turned around so fast in her chair she almost got whiplash. "My god you scared me" she said with her hand to her chest. The man behind her was old with white hair and a gruesome smile that made her bones shake. The old man walked slowly from behind the chair until he was standing over Cara with the same smile but somehow bigger. "I happen to like young pretty girls like yourself and you happen to be the first one i've seen in years as there's never been any here in this building".
"Leave her alone Larry, you're fucking scaring her" a hard voice came from behind the old man whose name she presumed is Larry. Larry's smile dropped and he stepped aside to reveal the same green eyed boy from across the room. The curly haired boy looked beyond mad, he was staring down the old man like they were communicating through thoughts.
"Why do you even care harry? You usually just watch when bad things happen to bad people. I thought that is what you got off to at night huh?" Larry grinned at boy whose fists were clenched. Harry stepped forward closer to man and whispered so quietly Cara almost didn't heard it "I don't 'get off' at night, I work out for hours so I can beat the life out of old men like you AND I don't care how many lashes that gets me". She could could see the look of terror fash across Larry's face as he quickly walked away without a second glance at her.
Cara was speechless and kind of frightened herself to be honest, even if he did get the man to leave her alone. Harry's breathing was unsteady as he watched Larry leave. He then turned to Cara who was breathing unsteady as well but for a different reason. "Are you okay?" Harry asked kneeling down in front of Cara. She nodded and gave him a small smile in thanks. He turned he head from her to look at the guards who weren't paying attention. He stood up from the floor and leaned on his hands that rested on the arms of the chair. He bent forward down to Cara's ear and kissed it ever so lightly.
"My name is Harry and I promise to protect you from this hell hole princess."
