How have we become so jaded in the world
Why do we see enemies in the eyes of each other ?
I crave the childhood my elders had for my child the one where the neighbors weren't strangers
Where we looked out for one another no matter what.
We have made ourselves divided in almost every way possible because we fear interaction
We interact strictly based through the phone and social media
Electronics may have updated but humans have fallen behind
What happened to the cookout or block parties that helped form unbreakable bonds
Communities used to be United and for the betterment that city workers provided the communities
I hope for peace ideally but realistically I just want a better world for my child to grow up in and not a world that's becoming so hateful and selfish.
Money and power have corrupted humans to their very core and because of it the world is not the same as it use to be and it may never be if we don't unite.
