When I got to the airport I found my luggage and looked for my grandmother. I only a picture to go off of, so hopefully it was enough.
Suddenly I heard my name being called. I turned around and sure enough the woman matched my picture.
"Hello?" is said tentatively.
"Hello Emma, how was your flight?" my grandmother asked.
"It was fine" I said, suddenly very shy.
"Good, let's get going then, there is lots to do before you start school."
I followed my grandmother out of the airport and out into the, you guessed it, rain. If I believed in omens than I would have hightailed it out of their. Lucky for me, I don't believe in omens, superstitions or magic of any kind.
My grandmother's car was clean and the back seat didn't look like it had ever been touched. I wondered if she was happy to see me or thought of me as a burden. I hope that she liked me.
I was so busy worrying about my grandmother liking me and doing well in my new school that I didn't notice that we had arrived at my grandmother's house.
My grandmother lives in a castle! Her house is huge. It is literally five miles across. Ok, I may be exaggerating, but compared to the three bedroom, two bath house that my parents own, this is a hotell.
"My butler, Mason, will get your bags and show you to your room. He is also here if you have any questions, however bare with him because he is new." My grandmother said casually.
A butler, she has a butler! I'm going to love it here.
