Townsville, Queensland
Chapter 1
'Why does everyone believe every little word of this magazine? All it is, is lies, lies and more LIES!' Tailah thought to herself. ' Anyway, just remember I am Tailah Downsford and I am 13 years old. I live in Townsville and I will not believe ANY of the lies in this magazine because I AM NOT AN IDIOT... huh, idiot. Ah the word 'idiot'. What a powerful yet sickening word in the english dictionary. Actual meaning: a person weak in the mind, a foolish one that is unable to understand anything. Hahaha, (gasping for breath) ahhh. Being so funny that my younger sibling, Luther, is one himself, which I am embarrased to bring him out in public and ruin my chances with making new friends and getting to know some boys. He ALWAYS knows how to embarrass me on front of EVERYONE! Somehow through school work, homework and video games, he manages to squeeze in an appointment, scheming on how to embarrass me. How shameful he thinks of having ME as a sister? What about ME having him as a brother?! I just wish, JUST ONE single wish that I can live a normal life without my younger siblings.' There are six of us children. 2 year old Charlotte (or as I call her, Charlie), 4 year old Nate, 6 year old Beau, 8 year old Luther, 13 year old me and 16 year old Samone or as I call her, Sam. Lucky, I only share a room with Sam. I don't mind her because she never bothers me anyway. All she does is study silently at home, listen to music and go shopping with her friends and work at her...well, lets just say her 'new' job that she has gotten OR (most likely) taken back before it had been taken by somebody else. The only time we really bother one another is if we need to borrow clothes from each other, since we have the same small bodies and same size clothes. Sometimes, she teaches me how to redesign clothes and everything in her design room (a.k.a. her very large walk-in closet). Hopefully, one day, she would LOVE, not like, to be a designer. I would like to be a marine biologist or a vetenarian. I just hope I can survive long enough to make it to the top.
Chapter 2
"Tailah! Tailah! Tailah! Taaiillaahh!! Where are yooouuuu?" yelled Luther.
"What is it Luth? Can't you see I'm busy?" I replied.
"Uhh, you don't look busy at all. Do you even have a life, like, ever?" Luther said questionally.
"EXCUSE ME?! How dare you ask me that crazy question!" I yelled.
"Look, firstly, ya didn't answer my question. Secondly, don't yell at me like that, please? Oh and las...
"Whoa, whoa, wait...did you just use manners?" I asked. Usually, Luth would just yell at me and make my life miserable, but now this a miracle! Now, in my mind, it seems like NO more burping out loud (ugh), NO more farting in front of my friends (eww and shameful), NO more making fun of me (angers me so much that it makes me VERY aggro), and possibly (hopefully) more!!!! What a wonderful gift this would be! Gasp! That means...no..more...scheming tricks to play on me. Wow! This is alot to take in!!
"Uh, Tahlia, are you okay? At the moment you look like stone, no offence." said Luth, worriedly.
"Wow, just...wow! Oh, what? I...I mean, pardon? Am I okay? Yeah...yeah, fine!" I stutter.
"Alright then. I was just making sure! Do you need anything? A drink? A snack?!" said Luther, without taking a breath.
"Uh, no thanks, I am fine for now."
"Well, okay then. Bye!" Luth yelled. Then he left. 'Okay, that was just plain weird. I wonder what got into him?'
Later, I went to the park with my three friends Laika, Hannah and Gracie. We got an icecream from the icecream cart and then we rode our bikes to the beach. It was really fun running around like crazy and running into some people from our class at school. After all the fun, we rode back to Hannah's house since Laika, Gracie and I would be having a sleepover there tonight. Hannah's house is a one story house but it is really nice. When we got to her bedroom, I received a text from Luther. 'Luther? Text me? I didn't even know he had my number!' I thought to myself.
