Twenty Four ~ Ruka... Likes...

"Ayane?"

I hold my head as I walk down the corridor with Aido.

"Ayane?" Aido stops and stands in front of me placing his hands on my shoulders "What's you?"

I shake my head with a frown on my face "Nothing, I just don't feel right"

Aido frowns "Want to take the day off and go to the nurse?"

I shake my head frantically "No! I'll be fine, I just need to lay down"

"Go back to your dorm, I'll tel Kaname you won't be coming into lessons today, I'll come and check on you at break"

I nod once and Aido places a kiss on my cheek before walking off down the stairs. Turning around I walk back to my dorm.

Covering my mouth I crouch to the floor shutting my eyes tightly.

"Ayane?"

Opening my eyes I look up and see Ruka raising an eyebrow at me "You okay?"

"J-Just sick" I say

Ruka crouches down with me "Are you sure that's it?"

W-What is Ruka suggesting?!

"Blood"

I blink and tilt my head at Ruka "Eh?"

"You're thirsty! Since you haven't drunk any blood in a while... And your still new to this vampire stuff" Ruka sighs and grabs my hand pulling me to my feet "Come on, let's get you a bag of blood"

R-Ruka...

Me and Ruka enter what seems to be a secret storage room, looking around I see some shelves of boxes with labels saying 'Blood'. 

"Catch this" Ruka tells me and chucks me a bag of blood "We've been keeping this bags of blood for emergence's, it seems to me you are in a emergence"

"Ah... Thank you" I say and sit down on the floor with Ruka. Piercing a straw into the bag of blood I suck it all up in probably in matter of one minute.

Pulling the bag of blood away from me, I chuck my head back in response and exhale.

"Feel better now?" Ruka asks me.

Turning to her I nod "Much, I feel much more alive than I did before but... my head still hurts" 

"Probably because you haven't drunk blood in a little, if you need anything, just let me know next time" She says looking down to the floor.

"Ruka?" I ask

"I-I... I've been thinking lately!" She says and turns to me "I think... we should go to town together this weekend..."

"EH?" I blink and point at myself "You want to go to town with me?" 

She nods twice.

"W-Well... I think that should be fine" I smile.

"Great!" She smiles.

"Ayane!"

Turning around my blue dress swings with me. I see Ruka waving at me wearing a purple dress with black ribbon.

"Good morning Ruka" I smile.

"I-I have something I've been meaning to tell you..."

"Oh?" 

"Since... I helped you, I want you to help me! I... I like Kain!" 

Tilting my head I raise an eyebrow "You like Kain?" 

"Yeah" 

"Congratulations!" I smile

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She tells me and places a finger on her lips "You cannot tell anyone!"

"Ah... sure" I nod

"Let's go!" She says coldly but a blush is formed on her face when she grabs my wrist and pulls me about.

I am happy for Ruka! I will definitely support her through this... I wonder how she'll confess... 

"Ayane... You look weird" Ruka turns to me.

"W-Weird? In what way?" I ask 

"You look... no offense but... weaker. And your stomach is the most tiniest bit bigger" She says and pokes my stomach gently.

"Ah!" I cover my stonach "O-Oi..."

Ruka gives me a small smile and gives a small laugh before looking at me.

Holding my head I exhale shakily.

"Ayane?"

"I'm fine..." I say and clutch my head tightly.

"W-We need to get you back to the dorm, I-I'll get Aido!"

"N-No!" I say before going to my knees "Don't get anyone... I'm fine..."

"Liar" Ruka says crouching beside me and places a hand on my back and looks at me "Ayane... Are you-"

She is cut off as I fade into a pool of darkness.
