"Three years you've been gone" I say aloud. "Three years ago my world crumbled." I said staring up at the moon. I shook my head, smiling to myself, feeling stupid that I do this. My nightly routine of sitting atop my roof and talking to the moon, hoping she can hear me. "Evelyn, you can hear me right?" I asked, tears starting to form. My head drooped down, "Right..." I whisper. Silence filled the crisp cold air to the brim. I sighed, "If I hadn't let you get in that damn car..." I choked on a sob. "Our wedding was the day after..." I muttered. I sadly looked up once more. The sky was an almost royal blue color, the clouds inky indigo color, and the stars were scattered about, twinkling, and the moon was in the center of all of it, glowing bright. "God why did you have to leave me?" I asked the sky again. 'Why' was the only thing I could ask, why did you leave me, why did you get in that damn car...why did I start a fight. "I shouldn't have said any of that..." I murmured, hugging my knees. The wind nipped at the rips in my jeans, causing little tingly bristles of cold to spread all throughout my legs. I finally stood, and managed to climb off the roof. "I hope you're doing okay..." I muttered as the door that lead into my backyard shut.
