The sun could shine brighter than ever,
And life could seem as though nothing could possibly get better,
But then, just for fun,
Life whirls and swirls around,
Knocking you off of your feet,
Letting you collapse to the ground.

It will be without warning,
The most sudden storm after a warm and sunny day.
The strong winds will knock the breath from your lungs,
And push against your body,
Pushing you further backwards.

You can fight it all you want,
Struggle and thrash against the winds that restrain you,
But nothing happens,
There is no progress,
And seemingly no end in sight.

The wind erodes bits of your soul,
Your heart crumbling at the slightest touch,
And the mind numbing pain of it all
Overwhelming you, and aiding in your
Dissent.
