My class is reading a book called Out of my Mind by Sharon Draper. It is about a girl named Melody who is diagnosed with something called Cerebral Palsy. When she was born she looked completely healthy! But when the doctors did whatever they do they said she had cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a disease that can be caused from lack of oxygen at birth. Anyway even though Melody had a disability she had a photographic memory. Melody's disease caused her to not be able to talk, walk, or do some things that people without disabilities can do. It also causes her to be in a wheelchair. Melody has to have some body help her eat, drink, use the bathroom, get dressed, and get out of bed. If I were Melody it would be super hard because I can't go a day without talking! Anyway when Melody started school she was put into a disabled class. They kept on learning the same things because the teachers thought they couldn't remember. But Melody wanted to tell her that she already knew all of that. She had a photographic memory! She got very frustrated and I can see why! The rest you will have to read on your own! i love this book so much!! You should read the book Out of my Mind! It is amazing!!!!
