"She's opening her eyes!"
"Please be quiet"
Opening my eyes I see I am facing a white ceiling, sitting up I see Aido, Ruka, Kaname and Kain. The only person I don't know is the person in the white coat. A doctor?
"Ayane Nakashima, a newborn vampire, not long has been this way" The doctor says looking through a bunch of notes.
"Thank god you're okay" Aido kneels beside me and grabs my left hand and gives it a light squeeze "I won't ever leave you again, I should of realized you were ready for going outside, you're still weak..."
"I'm okay..." I say before shutting my eyes lightly and exhaled "So I thought"
Opening my eyes I turn to Aido "Where am I?"
"Hospital" The doctor answers for me and fixes his square glasses on his face.
"T-Take me away from here" I say to Aido and grip hold of his hand tightly.
"Don't be afraid, this doctor is a very kind man, he is a vampire as well" Aido tells me and shows me one of his most gentlest smiles.
A vampire...doctor.
"I don't know whether to cry or laugh at this" I say.
"He's the best doctor we have" Kaname affirms to me.
"So..." I say turning to the doctor before me "What's wrong with me?"
"Well, I can definitely tell you that you're not sick, have the flu, a virus or anything like that" The doctor says and fixes his glasses once again and reads through his notes.
Everyone looks around at each other.
"Then...what is it?" Kain asks.
"...Ayane, it's the early stages of pregnancy" He says looking right at me with a smile on his face.
Pregnant. I am pregnant? Before it didn't occur to me that vampires could have children! I was also so upset and guilty about Ash... My mum is going to kill me! She doesn't even know I am a vampire yet! She's going to have a heart attack! I'm pregnant!
"A-Ayane..." Aido looks at me seeming to know I am panicking.
"You did this to me!" I demand and start picking up random objects and start throwing them at Aido.
"A-Ayane!" Aido demands and covers himself to protect himself from the objects.
"We should leave for a while" Kain says to Aido and places a hand on his shoulder once I had no more objects left to throw.
Aido looks at Kain and then me before sighing and nodding once and he leaves with the others leaving me and the doctor alone.
"I understand you are very upset right now Nakashima-San" The doctor says and fixes his glasses.
"Please don't call me that..." I say
"Ayane-San then" The doctor says "Perhaps, you would like a cure for your pregnancy?"
"A cure?" I blink.
Then I realized what he was saying.
"No!" I demand and cover my hands against my stomach.
The doctor steps back and raises his hands in the air "I understand"
"I-I... I have questions about this...pregnancy!" I say
The doctor sits down on a chair beside me and nods once "Go ahead"
"Whats... labour like?" I ask
"Pretty much like human birth, maybe just a little more pain" He says to me.
"How long with the pregnancy last?" I ask
"Well, normally 6 months, vampire pregnancy is a little faster than humans since the foetus grows faster. You will need to drink a lot of blood as well, you'll have to start from today as well since you are almost a month pregnant"
"Yes" I say nodding and I rest my head back "This is going really fast..."
"Here" Aido says to me and passes me a bag of blood and a straw to go with it "Drink this, the doctor said you need to drink starting from today"
"Were you, eavesdropping?" I ask
"I had to... I want to know what's going on, only because I love you so much and... you're having my child"
"I love you too" I say as we hold hands
"I-I've been meaning to ask you something for a while, but I haven't had the chance to ask it" Aido says rubbing the back of his neck seeming to be nervous.
"Yes?" I ask
"I-I... Will you.... -"
