he was the definition of summer. from the jokes he told, to his
laugh, to the sparkle in his eyes; he shone like the sun.

she was the opposite. bitter and icy. cold eyes, grey skies,
and a glare that could make you freeze. she was the definition
of winter. she hated everyone and everything.

he was the sun and she was the snow; and he was determined
to melt her frosty layers until he found the vibrant wildflowers
that were blooming somewhere beneath her heart.
