“James, are you with Daniella?”
“Mom, stop calling me Daniella”
“Hey sweetie, how’s your day?”
“I am fine mom kindergarten is awesome”
“I see, how about you James how was your day”
“It was tiring but guess what I was able to close a deal”
“Really? congratulations”
“Hey mommy, daddy can we eat now?”
Daniella Day or DD is our daughter. Though she is just our adoptive daughter and we are just best
friends we did our best to make her feel that she has a family. We really did not plan to adopt a child
but someone left DD in the park of our subdivision and what a coincidence we are there for a walk. It all
happened 5 years ago so now at the age of 25 me and Devon are a parent to our daughter DD though
we don’t really live in one house. DD most of the time stays with Devon because she’s sick she needs
someone with her 24/7 even if she has a maid it is still different to have a child beside her because kids
give a different happiness that everyone love. We are actually now in a hospital because Devon is here
for the same reason for the past 5 years of her life, her leukemia.
“Hey James thanks for everything” I am helping her to eat because she’s weak now but I know she’ll
fight and there’s always a miracle so I am not losing hope
“Anything for you”
“Ahm James after we eat can I talk to Daniella but please don’t leave her just stay beside her, ok?”
“sure”
After about 30 mins I told Daniella to sit on my lap cause her mom is going to talk to her.
“Hey sweetie”
“Yes mommy?”
