1. A waterbender?

6 months ago avatar Korra, my best friend, and team avatar beat Amon.
The man who wanted equality but took it away.
All of us was spread in different directions.

Asami took over future industries from her dad who was now imprisoned.
Mako became a part of the police force as ironic as that sounded.
Bolin kept on going with his pro bending dream, even though his old team mates had left him.
Korra was still in training to become the powerful avatar she was destined to be.

And me? I was far away from all of them.
As they all got back to Republic city, I stayed in the southern water tripe.

I was more determined to get a hold of my new powers, becoming a powerful waterbender like my mother and granmother.

We were all just finding our ways in life, and I guess I still had to find mine.
I missed them a lot after the 6 months, and I knew they missed me too.
But I wanted to be better. Better for them.
I wanted to be a productive part of team avatar.

The sun touched the water, slowly going down as it was getting darker.
The water was slamming against the cliff I was standing on.

I took a deep breath before getting into a fighting pose.
I raised my arms, and felt the water below me following.
A wave started forming, and I controlled it with steady and slow movements.

As I raised my hands above my head, the water raised up above the cliff.
It was very heavy, but I managed to pull through with getting all of it to levitate in mid air.
When sweat started dropping from my forehead, I slowly let it hit the bottom again.

''Yes!'' I yelled and raised my hands into the air jumping up and down.
I finally did it, after a whole week of trying and failing.
Grandmother and mom would be so proud when I told them

I got all of my things and started running back.
As I finally reached the southern water tripe, I stopped up and enjoyed the nice view.
It was that time at year when we got ready for the spirit festival, and I always loved it.

Even though it was my first one without my dad, I knew it was going to be special.
This year my friends were going to be here.
I was so happy when my mom told me the great news.
It would be the first time I saw them again after the they all want back to republic city.

''I can't believe I entered the avatar state?! It felt amazing!'' Korra said jumping up and down as we were walking back to the ship.
I couldn't help but smile and laugh with the rest of the group.

''Yes, you're on the way to becoming a great avatar.'' Tenzin said, proud of her.
''You just need to master airbending now Korra!'' A happy Ikki said.
''Yeah, and we'll be happy to teach you!'' Jinora exclaimed.
''And I can teach you fart bending!''  Milo raised his arms into the air, flying.

We all laughed at the young benders.
I was going to miss them all so much...

After finding out about my bending, everything fell into place.
I talked with Katara and my mom about it, and they agreed on me staying in the tripe.
They wanted me to catch up on the 18 years of my life I could've been bending.

We stopped up and people slowly started saying there goodbyes and getting themselves ready for the long trip home.
I had already said my goodbyes to Tenzin and the airbending family.
Team avatar was another story... I hadn't even told them about my new found power.
