Rachel's POV

I stepped off the jet, landing on the sparkling golden yellow road.

The Australian voice from the plane had told me to follow the pathway to the waterfall.

This was the only path there was.

I guess she forgot to tell me to "follow the yellow brick road".

Taking a deep breath, I checked my bag to see if I had my ePod.

It was in there all right. The hot pink ePod with gold buttons.

Grabbing it with my sweaty palms, I took a step forward.

Exhaling, I started toward the waterfall.

I stopped in my tracks, wondering when the waterfall would part for me, I felt the water droplets tickling my face. Which was when I saw the water starting to split.

Right down the middle.

"Ohmygosh..." I murmured at the sight.

I could see past the waterfall, the yellow brick road still continuing through a cave towards a beautiful beach.

I started to walk again, then broke into a run. The beautiful sparkling waters shined brightly as I finally reached the beach.

Kicking off my sandals, I felt the soft sand in between my toes.

It felt so good...

Then I realized; the private yachts.

There were 10 cruising yachts all together. Two houses per yacht.

I was in JK Rowling house. Coincidentally, I LOVED Harry Potter.

There was a banner hanging from the railing of all the boats, listing which houses went on which boat.

Each house arrived at the same time period so we wouldn't have to wait so long.

I found my house's yacht, JK Rowling&Coco Chanel house.

Wondering if there were any girls on board already, I walked up the plank onto the yacht and took a look around. No one.

I headed on inside and saw that there was a huge lounge room. On the coffee table was a little note.

Please go to your individual rooms

'Well, obviously they didn't want us to meet each other yet...' I thought to myself.

I headed downstairs and looked at the 10 rooms, each had their own golden plaque with a name on it.

Upon finding my room, I grabbed the handle and pulled the door open. Two egg shaped chairs. All that was in the room.

I slid into one of them. Next to it was a small table full of refreshments. There was a little ferris wheel and in every cabin there was a small snack. Mini chocolate bars, dried fruit, gummy bears, you name it. Next to that was a spinning tea cup, the contents of the tea cup were all kinds of drinks. Lemonade, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, water... Although it was spinning slowly so the drinks wouldn't spill.

I loved it.

I was going to LOVE Elite Academy. Their technology was advanced and everything was so modern and awesome.

I'd obviously fell asleep, because when I woke up the yacht was moving. I felt it skimming across the water.

"Can't wait..." I murmured to myself.

My eyes fluttered open as I heard a loud snap.

Sitting in the chair in front of me was Anges Horton.

"OHMYGOSH... Hi Mrs. Horton!" I squealed.

I stook out my hand to shake hers but she never reached out.

My hand fell down in disappointment, accidentally brushing her leg.

Which was when I realized that it was a hologram and not the real person.

"Oh... Sorry..." I murmured.

"Mm..."

I looked at her hologram nervously.

"Look outside the window, Rae. What do you see?" she asked me.

My eyes glanced out the window. Turquoise waters were washing up on a beach of an island. Elite Island.

"Elite Island?" I replied uncertainly.

"Yes. Elite Island. Not mapped on any map, except for ours..." she murmured as a table appeared in front of me with a map on it.

The map was of Elite Island, an E shaped island. It was pretty amazing.

At the bottom line of the E was Pink Sand Beach, with its soft pinkish sand and turquoise blue waters. Next to it was the Gym, the Court, the Market Place, the Zoo, the Zen Center, the Garden and the Observatory.

"The middle line of the E is where most of your lessons will take place. The Pavillion is on the edge of the line; it is the gathering place like Oahu. Inside is the food court, shops, lounges, the spa, and a salon. You won't need money to buy anything. Just good grades which have financial value and will be immediately deposited in your personal account which you can access through your ePod. There's also the Music Hall, the Dance Studio, the Notebook, the Chef's Hat, the Art Center, the Sculpture Garden, the Lab, the Computer Lab, the Runway, the Broadway Theater and Times Square." she listed.

"And the final line of the E..." she said as the yacht cruised through the waters toward the final strip of land.

"It's where the residences are, where our yachts, non-student planes land. And next to the residences is the student beach," the hologram finished.

There were 20 dorms for the 20 houses, not including the Horton house for the Horton brothers.

"Any final questions?" Agnes asked.

"Um. We get around on Segways, right? Where are the Segways kept...?" I asked nervously.

"In the garage of your residence. Now. We've reached the dock. If you'll excuse me..." And with that the hologram disappeared.

Well, I was finally on THE island.

Elite Island.

Wondering who my house mates were, I inched towards the door, nervous of the people outside.

Inhaling and exhaling, I calmed myself down.

'I hope they like me,' I thought.

"Well here goes nothing!" I murmured to myself as I pulled the door open.
