Riku's First Encounter

One more month until they arrive, wait you don't know who "they" is do you. Well then let's go back to where it all began a few months ago. Our story begins with a 15-year-old boy, and his parents, which age is not important. Riku is an average kid with an average home, average parents, but average is OK for Riku who is in a karate class and is very talented at it. Won many fights and learned very quickly. But Riku also is very nerdy. He plays video games to much and reads manga. He also has average grades which doesn't help with average friends. He's a kid with lots of talents too. One day is going to change everything for or young hero.

"Welcome to the final round. These two kids have fought hard to get up to this point". Said the fight announcer.

Riku and his opponent step up to the mat, but as soon as Riku landed the first strike a spark of static appeared on his fist and the opponent was sent flying outside the stage, Riku had won but, did he really. Riku never knew he had this kind of strength. The crowd was quite until Riku burst out of the building and ran home alone. As soon as he got home he got 4 bricks from where his dad tried to build a house, he failed. He laid them on flat on the ground and tried to break all of them! HE DID! All of them turned into little bits. Only yesterday he was only able to break a one-centimeter-thick wooden tablet. When his parents came home they had a worried look on their face.

"Do you think he will be OK"? His mom said. "We should tell him about this."

"I'll tell him." Said his dad. "Riku is 16 now. I think he needs to know the truth. He's practically a man". So his dad went upstairs and sat Riku down. He explained that he himself also has these powers but not the static that Riku had. Just the super strength. And he got them early on in his life. He had to hide his powers and had a paranormal childhood

"This isn't fair." Riku said. 'Why me when I'm just a kid who is scared and weak and alone." At this point I think you can tell Riku's a scared little guy.

"There's way more problems to worry about". His dad explains how with their power he can sense people's presence depending on how strong they are. His dad can sense energy from space and the energy is getting closer each day. He also explains that when they get here there be a massive threat to us.

"Why us if they're so strong then why attack a weak planet like earth. We suck. Pollution, war, and world hunger are only a small amount of our problems. Tell them to go attack Uranus or something." Riku argued. "I don't want to do karate anymore. I want to be a normal boy. Even my birthday is coming up in a month and I'm a freak AND a nerd"

"Stop it right now!" Said his dad." You are a special kid with cool powers. I'm going to teach you every think you need to know on this and you are going to train with me very day until school starts again. Once it does I'll give you a schedule to better suit you, now is that clear!" Riku shakes hands with his dad and with that, our average story begins.

The next few weeks Riku goes to his back yard with his dad to train and really doesn't want to. Riku would often take long breaks to play video games. Riku's not a fighter he doesn't get bad grades and stuff. Riku had his mind set that he doesn't want to fight. He's had more than his share of being bullied and he doesn't want to get beat up. His dad needs Riku's help and cannot do this without him and needs to find a way to make Riku fight. Riku fights in karate for fun and not to hurt, just to get that clear. So as the summer went by his dad finally gave Riku a brake and let Riku watch TV when the reporter said

"There is a bank robbery taking place in downtown" what bad luck for Riku because after that his dad said

"Riku lets go, you need the experience." Riku nodded. At this point Riku has never been in a real fight. Or has he, when Riku was 8-years-old he went on a field trip and a man with a dagger, that had a lightning bolt on it, cut Riku leaving a thunder bolt shaped scar under his right eye, which looked cool but I wouldn't count that so this will be Riku's first time
