Drowning Sadness

The sadness went deeper,
As my soul began to crumble,
The tears began to fall,
And what was left of me,
Began to tumble,
Like an avalanche,
My life sped down hill,
It stopped at the point,
Where it is still,
Awaken me,
From this crazy dream,
Of no life value,
And no self esteem,
Let the pain disappear,
Like the fog,
From the air,
Leave me with no memories to compare,
But no there's no hope,
I just sit here and stare,
The walls of pure blankness,
Bring numbing to my brain,
The thought of lost hope,
Starts to drive me insane,
An earthquake of realization,
Shakes the ground on which I stand,
I am alone,
I have no helping hand,
I tumble further,
Towards endless unknown,
Yet I know where it's going,
Though no signs are shown,
The ship hits the iceberg,
A sad but slow death,
I say it was needed,
With my last puff of breath
