Ethan POV
Sunlight pours through the window and onto my face. I open my eyes, and roll over, and come face to face with a sleeping Avery, her arm loosely holding onto my waist. I check the alarm clock on the nightstand just on the other side of the bed. It was about eight thirty in the morning, and it was Saturday. Avery and I had both gotten typical nine-to-five jobs, Monday through Friday, and I was so lucky to spend every weekend with her. I worked at a coffee shop just around the corner, and Avery worked in a bakery that her friend owned. I snuggled closer to her, and kissed her nose.
“Ave, wake up,” I whispered.
She scrunched her nose and stirred a little bit.
“Ave,” I tried again. She shook her head and pouted before opening her eyes.
“Good morning beautiful,” I smiled, kissing her forehead.
“Morning lovely,” She smiled back, blushing.
“Theres something on the kitchen table for you,” I smile, thinking of the little surprise I set out last night while she was asleep.
“I know what today is, but you didn’t have to do anything,” She blushes more.
“But I wanted to,” I smile.
She sighs as she gets out of bed, clad in a teeshirt and some black lace panties.
“Happy anniversary,” She giggles while she slides on a pair of shorts.
I get out of bed and follow her, hugging her from behind, and kissing her neck.
“Happy anniversary love,” I say as I press kisses to her ear.
I walk with her to the kitchen, where she gasps as she sees flowers on the table. She walks over and sniffs the roses.
“They’re beautiful, I love them,” She giggles.
“I have more, but that you’ll have to wait for,” I say tauntingly.
“Fine, then you’re going to have to wait for yours too,” She says, sticking out her tongue.
She turns away, and I push her towards the bathroom gently.
“Go take a shower and get your cute ass ready to go,” I say.
“Coming with?” She winks, as she walks down the hall, already peeling her shirt from her body.
I know, short filler, but I did three chapters in one night, I think you guys can hold off for a little while longer!
