Insomnia.
I had it since I was 5. It never left me. Sleepless nights were hard to handle. I could only manage 3 hours of sleep every week.
When it happens, I start to paint.
Even though the speakers from below are still blasting loudly and insanely.
I took my canvas out of the wardrobe and my art materials.
Inilabas ko lahat ng emosyon ko sa buong linggong ito sa painting na 'to. I was planning to sell it when I'm done.
After an hour, the party was over. And as I glanced at the clock, it was 5 am in the morning. And I didn't sleep. School starts at 9 in the morning. Better get my morning jog going.
I change into sweatpants and a tank top. I fished my earphones out and headed quietly towards the door.
I took on my daily route, past the park, to the grocery store then towards the cliff.
Ang lamig ng hangin ngayon. Ang sarap sa feeling kapag nararamdaman mo. It somehow took my anxiety away from me.
As I slowly approach the cliff. I began to slow down my pace. I smiled.
Soon enough, I won't exist anymore.
Hang on.
Soon.
