"I woke up this morning with goosebumbs and I was sweating. It felt like someone was there... watching me." "Oh, relax, Hai. You're probably just sick or maybe you had a bad dream. No one is watching you, girl, calm down. It's the first day of Summer vacation, no one wants to spend it stalking someone! Now, c'mon! Let's get ready to head to the lake!"
I'm Hailee and my friend's name is Baylor. She doesn't take much of anything seriously, but she got me convinced that I was just getting sick and that no one would be watching me. I pushed the thought out of my mind and walked up the stairs to my bedroom to pack for our month long lake trip.
Although Baylor and I were both single, we often took weekend vacations and called them "Girl's Weekend". They were always really fun and we often got hit on by ramdom guys but, those short conversations just resulted in fake numbers from us and countless laughing fits.
This time, though, was different. We were going to a lake in Georgia for a month. This was a real Summer vacation. Baylor and I were planning on leaving at 7:00 A.M. Tomorrow morning and somehow, neither one of us was even close to being packed.
After about three hours of stuffing hair products, clothes, swim suits, books and shoes into three suitcases, I was finally done packing. By this time it was 11:00 P.M. And I was in desperate need of sleep. I walked into Baylor's room to find her sprawled on her bed passed out and snoring. I just chuckled to myself and went to prepare for bed.
I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth and could have swore the shower curtain was moving, almost like a swift breeze had been blowing. My thoughts immediately gravitated towards my earlier feeling of being watched. I slowly and silently inched toward the shower curtain, ready for some psychopathic stalker to jump out and attack. I was standing next to the curtain with my fingertips brushing over the edge. I took a deep breath and shakily jerked the curtain open only to find an empty shower. Baylor was right. I was just a bit sick was all, and i was super sleepy, too which explained why i had those hallucinations.
I walked back to my bedroom, fell on my bed and went right to sleep.
