Chapter7- The date

Luke had to rush off early to rehearsals that morning,So you just sit there still on his bed smoothing the quilt out with your fingers as you remember Luke's words. He said he loves you. He actually said it to you. There's so many girls out there that would love to be me right now, you think to yourself as you stand up.

Luke had said earlier that if you need to get out of the house to use the back door because that way you won't get caught by any fans, you still hadn't told him about the paparazzi getting pictures of you about to leave the house, but had decided to tell him tonight.

Luke had asked you out for dinner.You head for the back door and call up your friend that you hadn't spoken too since last night, she didn't even reply to your text.

"Hey are you ok, you didn't reply last night?" You say as your friend answers her phone.

"Yeah I'm fine, what about you, where have you been staying?" They reply. You've always been best friends and you know they'll know that you don't really have any other very close friends that live in your area. Sure you have other friends, you're just not as close to them, and your other best friend, Lucy,moved away to South Devon a few months ago, as if you'll be seeing her anytime soon.

"Well" you say debating whether to tell her the truth, but decide nows not the right moment. "I was just staying at a cousins, but I'm gonna be chilling at my house now, after all, I have it all to myself, what don't you come over later?" You say being sure not to give away to much about last night.

"Yeah sure, my mums just been let out of hospital so she's at home now, along with the other woman we crashed into, they became really good friends whilst they were both in hospital and because this woman just fell out with her husband, my mums letting her stay at ours in our spare room untill they sort it out, apparently they used to go to primary school together or something" they blurt out trying not to sound too sarcastic.

"Oh right, sounds interesting Lol, so what's her name anyway?"you ask, trying to make conversation so the guard dogs you're currently passing aren't heard on their end of the phone.

"Louisa, Louisa shepherd or something like that anyway...wait...what's that barking noise I didn't know you had dogs?" They exclaim as you just make it out of the back gate without getting caught.

" oh no they're not mine, I'm just errr, walking down the road and someone was walking their dogs" you say trying to sound convincing.

"Ok well anyway ill see you at yours in an hour, bye!" she replies cutting off the phone before you get a chance to reply.

You hail down the bus and go home unlocking your front door with the spare key. You dump your bags in the hallway and run up to your room almost immediately changing out of your clothes into something new and fresh, you still have Sam Callahans shirt in your bag from last night when he gave it to you to use as pajamas , better give it back to him later - you think ,as the doorbell rings.

Your friend is early. What a surprise.

You open the door to an exited face " hey! How are you , I have so much more gossip to spill!" They scream as you shut the door behind them. You smile thinking that whatever she says you could easily top with your xfactor story, but decide to let them go first.

"I spoke to our friend Lucy in South Devon and you never guess what!"

"What?!?" You cry exited to hear unexpected news like this.

"She's coming home for a while, here in London, she asked her mum to come home after she broke up with her new boyfriend!" They scream jumping up and down like a spring.

"OMG NO WAY I HAVENT SEEN HER IN AGES AHHHH!" You scream back joining them bouncing.

" and guess what my news is!" You reply still jumping up and down.

"What what what tell me!" They cry shaking your shoulders crazily.

"I'm gong on a date tonight!" You reply as you both stop jumping through exhaustion.

"OMG with who!" They scream louder than ever.

You debate once again whether to tell them the truth, would Luke mind? Had he even told his Friends that he was taking you out tonight? You decide you have to tell them, they will find out sooner or later anyway.

"Well , his names Luke." You say beginning to fiddle with your fingers nervously.

" Luke? Luke who, the only Luke I know is Luke Friend!" They say laughing to themselves.

Wow. This was awkward.

"Umm yeah, funny story.." You trail off thinking of changing your mind.

" what? Just tell me who it is!" They reply, eyes getting larger with anticipation every suspenseful second.

"Well , his name Luke and he's totally adorable and amazing and that's all you need to know!" You reply.

" Well that's fine then! We need to get you ready! What are you gonna wear!?"she asks eyeing me up and down questioningly.

" I don't know, but I can't afford a new outfit, with my mum away on business she's the one that earns the money and she's not back until next week, she stocked me up on enough food at home incase I want to stay here and I meant to be staying with you and my nan for the rest of the time until she gets back." You say, no longer smiling.

"Well my mum just got a whole load of money from the car insurance people and she said I can spend some of it, shall we go shopping?" They say, exitedness creeping over their face.

"Ok then! Let's go! OMG I'm so exited, I wonder what he's going to wear!!???!" You reply as you both head for the door.

" I don't know but who cares as long as you look stunning what does it matter!" They reply, dragging you out of the front door and onto the bus.

What a great day, your other best friend is coming home from Devon, you have your house to yourself,you're about to go clothes shopping and you're going on a date with Luke Friend...

Could the day get any better!
