1 - Deal with the Devil

The Ice Dragons are becoming one of the most feared crime organizations in Asia, with branches extending to London, Dubai, and Germany. I hate organized crime, but I know just enough about the Ice Dragons to do my job and stay the hell away from them when I'm done here.

Soryu Oh is their leader and has been for the past few years. Such a feared man at the young age of 28, just six years older than me. Rumor has it that he's gotten married, and Fudo Oichi had confirmed that for me a few days ago.

I don't keep up with the lives of royal families. It's boring and has nothing of value for me. But I do admit, it is interesting at times. That is when I want it to be.

I unlock my phone and check the hit Fudo Oichi, leader of the Flaming Hounds, has requested with my black coins. He doesn't provide much information about who I'm targeting, but I can only bet it is Oh, or his new wife. All I can rely on is a micro tracker that gives me the exact coordinates of the person I've to take care of.

"You can only talk to me like that when we're alone. If you talk to me like that anywhere else I might just pass out." I hear a woman laugh as I carefully open the balcony door to the bedroom where two people sit on a bed.

Mr. and Mrs. Soryu Oh.

I check the coordinates again and I still can't tell who I'm supposed to kill. I prop my gun on the railing and get comfortable hiding in the ivy and shrubbery, because this is going to take a while. I keep a close eye on the pair and the slightly changing numbers on the screen of my phone.

"Wait, really?" The woman sit up quickly as the man stays stationary.

I look at my coordinates and see the abrupt change in value.

Looks like the woman is it.

I raise my gun at her head and place my finger on the trigger. I take a deep breath and just before I'm about to pull, she turns to her left and I can clearly tell she's pregnant. God no, she's heavily pregnant.

Fucking Oichi. Everyone knows I will kill men and women, but kids and pregnant women are strictly a violation of contract.

I curse silently at the wasted time and climb back down, being very careful to make is down without noise. I climb out of the shrubs and step on a branch.

Damn it, Mina.

I see the beam of the light from the room grow larger as the woman walks out onto the balcony. I press my body against the shrubs and slowly inch away, keeping an eye on the woman until she raises her gun in my direction.

A bullet grazes my arms and I gasp at the burn that is all too familiar to me. I break into a sprint toward the same way I entered and the exit I planned. All of the lights on the mansion grounds turn on and men begin to fire at and chase me.

I run against the wall for leverage and pull myself above and over it. My feet and legs never stop moving when they make contact with the ground again. Thanks to a carefully thought out plan, I escape quickly through the forest and merge back into civilization when I reunite with the city. I open a message on my phone from no one other than Oichi himself.

"Has it been done?" Fudo answers when I call him.

"Deals off. She's pregnant and you know the rules." I hide my face while walking through the streets.
