"TJ..TJ" AJ shaking TJ as an attempt to wake him. But he sleeps heavily in his warm, single bed in a cold room.

"WAKE UP!"

"AHH!"

"Finally you're up"

"What the fuck!? How did ye' get in?"

TJ pov*

"Yer ma let me in" he pats my head "It's a big day, which is..." clicks his fingers then points at me.

"Prefect enrolment thingy" I responded while rubbing my eyes then running my hand through my thick brown hair, which now looks like a birds nest.

"Aye! Go shower, cause ye' left the wax in your hair from yesterday" he runs his hand threw my hair and just as I thought it got stuck.

"Well ouch" I grab a hold of his arm and pull him onto my bed on his back and flop on top of his chest

"TJ buddy off now. TJ ye' seriously need to shower" I didn't move "TJ we're gonna be late at this rate and I don't too loose our chances to be prefects. So get the hell up"

In the end, I got showered and dressed like AJ said. We both sat downstairs in the dinner room, while my mum was preparing breakfast. Since she was off for today she can drive us there to school, which means a good breakfast for us both. She didn't mind making AJ breakfast. Because he was like another son to her and a brother to me. Every morning he comes here since he lives right next door to me, his parents works early, but comes home in the afternoon. Every fort night is a sleepover at mine then ever other fort night his sleepover at his. She came in with two plates of eggs and bacon. She place then down then shift her head towards me.

"Ted Jackson Sutherland. For someone who wants to be a prefect, they should be wearing their uniform properly. Ye' can wrap that bandana around yer wrist but not do yer tie properly?" from across the table I can see that AJ was snickering while he was eating his eggs.

I decide to taunt him back for it "I don't know what you're chuckling at Alexander Jackson O'Connor. Your shirt is not tucked in, your hair still has platinum in, lip piercings are-".

"Right, I'm sorry. Just please don't gawk at me now (stare rudely)"

"I'm not. Maw (mum) what time will ye' be able to take us on next Friday?" I ask my mum who was in the kitchen

"Ah dinnae Ken (I don't know) I have to go to the post office first so ye' need to be home before I go out. Then we can see what time we can set off okay" because AJ has been around for that long he gets some of the Scottish phases that are said in the house. But I usually use less when I'm around him.

"We can leg it from school" AJ says "I mean who wouldn't"

We arrived at school half an hour early before our year 10 and 11 8:30am assembly, which is every Wednesday. AJ and I head to the computer suit where I start to look up books to buy before Friday. Normally we would go to the back of the school. But it's getting cold to do that at the moment. I see AJ unwrapping a lollipop then placing in his mouth. He then takes out another and puts it into my pocket of my blazer. At this point I remembered to tell him something important about what will be happening this summer holiday.

"AJ I need to tell ye' something"

"Aye?"

"Maw and I are taking ye' with us to Scotland for summer holiday"
